Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

1) Cancelled Apple.com order
2) 3 minutes later Apple Store iPhone app stopped giving error about an error already being placed for upgrade
3) Ordered phone for pickup today

Just waiting for the ready for pickup email now, which if I remember correctly will occur as soon as some employees get in the store this morning.

Had originally ordered the Apple.com order through AT&T NEXT but could not do that for in store pickup. Paid full price for the phone, plan on "returning" the phone when I get to the store and rebuying through AT&T NEXT. We will see how that goes...

So the process is just broken. Why would Apple A) Be sending ANY phones to stores until all their obligations to customers that have already ordered have been filled B) Why in the heck can't you order AT&T NEXT phones for in store pickup? You can do it in store once you get there...

Overall not my favorite process. Doubt I will ever "pre-order" another iPhone, probably just wait for a week or so after release and get it at a store before I can ever dream of seeing it in my mailbox or on my doorstep...

I read an article that said Apple Retail Stores can't process ATT Next for existing customers...I hope you don't have any trouble with your return.

Same exact info for me. I was hoping to get it by next week sometime.
 
My iPhone 6 plus finally left China after sitting there since 9/26. That's good news. However, my scheduled delivery date was pushed back to 10/3 and then once again to 10/6. Why?!? I'm starting to think that Apple is having them held for THEIR scheduled date range of 10/13 to 10/20. This is very disappointing.

Here is something that I found to be interesting. The scheduled delivery date was updated from 10/2 to 10/3 and once again to 10/6. However, the UPS my choice 2 week calendar is still showing a delivery date of 10/2.

It's more like what apple showed after the status changed to ship, it showed 6th on mine, and now ups is showing the same...
 
No method to their shipping maddness

Ok, all phones 6+ 64GB 2 silver and 2 SG...Ordered through Apple for ATT Next on 9/19. 1 silver has shipped and is currently in Anchorage, another silver finally left Shanghai but reappeared a few hours later in Osaka and the 2 SG well they are still processing......Everything still shows the 10/2 delivery date though

So, Here are my UPS Delivery Details...

I think if I stop watching for it, it will come. My grandma used to say a watched pot never boils...! LOL

Mine finally left ZZ and like others the delivery date slipped from 10/2 to 10/6. We'll see if it makes it to Korea or not. I'm beginning to doubt that UPS expedited is really expedited when it comes to Apple preorders.
 
Mine was ordered very early on the 12th and originally Apple reported 13 - 20 October for delivery. It sat in processing for several days. Finally got notice it shipped and sat in China for 4 days. This morning I got a status update and it is moving again but original delivery date, 2 October now shows 6 October! Another weekend without my phone. Looking at everyone else's post looks like I can expect another slip or two before this is said and done.

Guess UPS can't keep up with the millions of phones coming into the states.

Anyone else stuck at Shanghai? Seems like most of you were stuck at ZhengZhou, but mine passed ZZ quickly to Shanghai but hasn't moved since then. Delivery date still says Thursday.
 
For those with 5:15 departure from Zhengzhou, I think it went to Shenzhen in Guangdong, China. There is UPS flight 77 going to Anchorage That just departed. Hopefully mine is on that flight.

Agreed. The most popular phone sold is the 6+ 64 GB. Which is what I ordered and why I'm most likely going to wait longer than most people to get it. My estimated delivery is 10/23-10/30 and I order it on 9/24 through Apple.com for AT&T. Hopefully Apple doesn't shutdown production in China for their holiday. I highly doubt that will happen though.

I had one stuck in Shanghai for 3 days 27th-30th and it left but only went to Osaka Japan...which is weird
 
Here is mine this morning. I guess it never really left ZZ the first time, as it was scanned out for departure from ZZ again. Finally arrived in Incheon. Hopefully will be on UPS99 today. That flight is always late it seems.

Same here. My tracking now shows delivery for 10/6 but my choice says delivery on 10/2. I would think we could still get them Friday. If they get to Alaska later today why wouldn't they be able to get to us in the next 3 days?

Same Here... Only my Delivery date has now slipped to 10/6 (shipping to S. Florida)
