Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

So here's my story, the night before release me and two of my best friends go to line up outside at&t for six pluses so we planned to be the first ones there AT&T around ten o'clock imagine our surprise when we arrive and we are already sixth in line to receive the same model and color phone as I wanted 6+ st 64 so after waiting in line for ten hours they only had six pluses in store I was like hooray I didnt waste any time but as my luck was at Ann all time high fate struck faster than lightning a mom and her daughter decided to get a six plus rather than their original idea of just a six. So leaving empty handed I entered my car and using dunkin donuts Wi-Fi I ordered my six plus through Apple that very same day it came out and to this day I'm still in processing hell.

I think a lot of the people getting their 6+ now were in the queue before release day. Now, if you were ordering a 6, I would get someone to look at that. I ordered a 6 the sunday after release day and will get it either tomorrow or monday.

Wow... What a sad story.
But don't worry, it will have a much happier ending when you get exactly the phone you wanted, not the one that was left behind by other costumers.

Walmart Deal
This weekend Walmart is offering doubling the amount on trade-ins up to $200 if you are buying a iPhone 6 or 6+ so if you have 4 or 4S you can get a little more for a trade-in. Trade-ins on iPhone 5/5s are usually higher than $200.
Given this trade-in deal Walmart is suppose to have more inventory in the stores, but I have a feeling it will be more 16gb models, but plan to check the stores in my area. On release day they only had 16gb opening price point models.

Credit cards been hit. AT&T has already hit me for the $40 activation fee on this month's statement.

I talked to UPS and they guaranteed there are flights out of Louisville to Newark tonight and that all our phones will be on one of them. There weren't anymore UPS flights from Louisville to Newark listed last night when I went to sleep and lo and behold in the morning it showed 3 that arrived between 3:45 and 6 am so breath easy.
Sigh, same here. Except Canada. This wait SUCKS, so badly, and I know it shouldn't but I'm still a 15 year old inside.
Ever since I went into the Apple world, I've ordered (or gotten, once) my devices on launch day... this is the first time that is delayed, and even though I ordered just later in the day, I still am sitting, waiting, waiting and waiting. Stupid preparing for shipment, and you can't even cancel! BLERGH.
Could be wrong but I'm guessing its possible they already flew to the destinations but they missed the cutoff for delivery today.
The only time I bought an iPhone on or near launch was the original iPhone in 2007. I bought the 3GS in-store a month or two after launch and had zero problems with inventory, etc. My iPhone 4 I bought mid lifecycle because my 2-year old destroyed my 3GS.
I knew I was in for a long wait when I got the Oct. 14 - 21 delivery estimate. But then I got excited when it switched to "preparing for shipment". There's that annoying feeling you get when you know everyone's been paid... but you still don't have what you paid for.
I picked up the LG G3 as I'm waiting for the iPhone 6 Plus.
Good thing is the iPhone delivers between 10/14 - 10/21.
If I don't like the LG G3, I can just open it and start using it and return the G3 and pay the restocking fee. Might as well exercise my options as I'm waiting.

Wow...I just realized mine isn't showing in my account anymore after reading your post. I've been preparing to ship since early Monday. Ordered sep. 13 ATT 6+ 64 gb.
