So pissed right now. At work all day watching tracking. Right now it says:

Come home to delivery notice on my door and rescheduled for Monday. On hold to complain right now although I know it will be pointless.

What exactly is the point in tracking?

Same tracking information, same frustration. I know that feeling, bro... Hopefully we'll get them tomorrow. This day is already over.

When I started hearing that folks were getting their deliveries earlier than Apple's original estimate I started to get my hopes up that I might have mine in time for my birthday (end of next week). But this week long "preparing for shipment" purgatory has turned that hope into frustration.

First world problems, I know.

Just got off phone and was my fault kind of. 1 of my three made it today. Picking them all up at UPS tomorrow morning.

To sum up my day, I noticed the package was out for delivery and I had to go to work. So while at work i called and had the package held at the pick up facility in town. I got off at 7:30, the facility closed at 8 and was clear across town. I knew if I didn't make it i wouldn't have a chance to pick it up till Tuesday with my work schedule. Thankfully I made it and am now getting it all set up.

This has been fun sharing the experience with you all. To all those that haven't received their phones yet, just keep checking it will get there!

Yeah, I'm extremely frustrated with this entire preorder process. I contacted UPS via their live chat option and they indicated that the driver must deliver every package. So, I'm starting to think mine never made it onto the truck for some reason. I'm calling them now.

I've been in preparing to ship since the 28th. The Chinese national holiday started Oct 1st and goes thru the 7th. I pretty much believe that we won't see any changes until the 8th. I understand having holidays but they put us in preparing to ship and now we can't make any changes or cancel our order of we are able to find one in stores. The stores are getting phones every day for people to get them with no waiting but I pre-ordered on the 12th and I'm still waiting. Kind of defeats the meaning of pre-ordering. I'm just so frustrated.

Ordered 6+, 128GB, SG, ATT through Apple.com on 9/13 at 8am. Original delivery window was 10/14-10/21.

My phone's journey started on 9/27 in ZZ, China and made it to Shanghai on 9/27. It enjoyed the thrills of Shanghai for a couple days and then departed to Alaska on 9/29. It "chilled" in Alaska for a couple days until departing for Louisville on 10/1. Arrived in Louisville on 10/2 at 1:18am. Was scheduled for delivery 10/2, but import scan delayed until 11:39am, so then got bumped to 10/3. Departed Louisville at 2:49pm. Not sure if it's flying or trucking to MD. Don't really care as long as it shows up tomorrow!

Delivered 4:30pm today! I was at work, but having fun with it now. No issues getting connected to ATT. So far, it doesn't seem too big. I guess time will tell.

Just got off the phone with UPS and they basically don't have a clue where my package is. If Apple continues to use UPS I will never order a product from them again. This is absolutely ridiculous!

I was hoping that UPS would take advantage of the mid-afternoon / evening flights out of Louisville, but if they did, it certainly didn't show on my tracking. Guess they just kept everything on the plane and waiting for that specific plane to make its route.

I recently chatted with an Apple representative and said: Chinese Holidays do not interfere with shipments out of China. Your phone will ship 1-5 days before the estimated delivery.

Ordered 2 of them, one on the 20th and the other on the 21st. Shipped on the 27th. Arrived today (Oct 3rd). Got a cheap(er) case while I'm waiting on the Otterbox (Defender).

I'm only 5'10 but I wear XL gloves so my hands are fairly large. I love the feel and it does not seem too big...kinda awkward if you're using it one-handed but really, who does that and why? I bought this to use instead of an iPad Mini AND an iPhone...so I'm ok with the size and shape.

As for the Verizon service, flawless. Took it to the store and they helped my wife and I set our phones up and switch from my old 4. She gave our daughter her old(ish) 5S...they transferred all of the numbers and started up our iCloud restorations...


I hope everyone else has as much fun with their new toys as we are...I can't imagine NOT having it now...LOL...seems crazy to fall in love with something that quickly but it has happened...

I think the most frustrating part of it is that by leaving a customer's order in "preparing for shipment" for this long you realize they aren't actually preparing anything. It is, in fact, still being processed. The frustration comes from realizing that Apple is only putting the order in "prepare for shipment" mode so they can charge your card and lock in your order.

To be honest I doubt my phone has even been manufactured yet.

yes if they didn't change it to preparing i could have cancelled and got my wife one at the store i got mine. well ill never pre order again as it serves no purpose as i got a phone before people that pre ordered on 9/12 crazy

Yes you can but you want to make sure everything is updated in AT&T's network properly so that the phones will operate properly and the warranty/ insurance will be on the correct devices. You can call in or go to your local AT&T with the devices to get everything switched properly.

Hate to say it, but it doesn't give a specific timeframe of delivery unless you pay extra (and even then it is a 2 hr long span). They can deliver anytime from when the truck leaves at dawn to 8 pm.

Got it!!!! Group A in Socal. Package arrived at 8:15pm. The UPS guy apologized for delivering so late and said he wanted to make sure i got my iPhone. I wanted to reach out and strangle him for the last 5 hours of stress he caused me. :lol:

Doing a restore now as i write this. This thing is a work of art. Now i can sleep better tonight.

Time to put my 5 on Craigslist. Gonna miss my JB for now.
Was a pleasure hangin' out. Posting to this thread with everyone else in the same boat was therapeutic for sure.

I've been following this thread and being silent since there were only about 100 or so pages..I've become frustrated with my own situation, and couldn't help but feel frustrated for others' misfortunes as well. After much confusion, I finally figured out I was part of the original A team. Now I'm pretty sure I'm part of the B team. I will just give you all some background info on my current state.
Purchased 6+ 16gb silver with Verizon on Sept 12 at around 3:30 EST.. Prepared for shipment on the 24th, card charged on the 24th as well, shipped the 26th. I had that whole ordeal with the exceptions back and forth between Incheon, Zheng Zhou etc. None of it made sense. I was so excited to see it FINALLY land in Anchorage yesterday, and was upset when people were updating that theirs departed around 2:50 pm. Mine finally departed shortly after that and arrived in Kentucky at 1:12 am today, and import was a few hours after. I could not even believe my eyes when I got text notifications about EXCEPTIONS due to weather!!! I was beyond annoyed. As you can see from my annoying path posted below, I'm still stuck in Kentucky apparently, and am supposed to receive it tomorrow (Saturday) delivered to my home in Indianapolis. Just a quick aside, my initial delivery date was around Oct 13-24 (can't quite remember), and when I received shipment notification from Apple, my delivery date was October 6th. However, when I clicked on UPS it was updated to the 3rd (today) and then changed around Tuesday (when it was hung up in China/Korea/back in China) that it would be delivered to Monday the 6th, which is what Apple stated. It basically says I have no delivery date as of right now, but I did check earlier by clicking live chat and it said that my delivery date is supposed to be tomorrow. I've chatted with so many people via UPS and they all confirm it'll be here tomorrow. I guess I have to wait and see. Was really hoping to have it in my hands tomorrow.
