You can login to check your status of your order at the Apple site and from there you can print off a page, presign it, and stick it to your door that states you have authorized to have it dropped off.
You can presign for delivery on Apple Store app once your device ships. Print it and sign and tape to your front door. The driver is still the decider if he actually does leave it at front door so it's not a guarantee.

Trust me. Keep yourself busy and it will just arrive. It took 5 business days from the shipping date to arrive.

I finally pulled the trigger after comparing the 6 and 6+ for two weeks and ordered my 6+ the other day. I don't even have tracking info which leads me to believe there are no phones in the supply chain to assign even if it won't be shipped in the 3-4 weeks apple quoted. I will be eagerly refreshing my emails to get that heavenly tracking info. That is when the real torment will begin though .just watching it go from China to Korea to China again and then back to Korea. I am not looking forward to that. THat is seriously happening to a buddy of mine that ordered his 6 a week ago. That is just for the 6!!! congrats to all who have received their new phone. WIsh me luck

I've been following this thread and being silent since there were only about 100 or so pages..I've become frustrated with my own situation, and couldn't help but feel frustrated for others' misfortunes as well. After much confusion, I finally figured out I was part of the original A team. Now I'm pretty sure I'm part of the B team. I will just give you all some background info on my current state.
Purchased 6+ 16gb silver with Verizon on Sept 12 at around 3:30 EST.. Prepared for shipment on the 24th, card charged on the 24th as well, shipped the 26th. I had that whole ordeal with the exceptions back and forth between Incheon, Zheng Zhou etc. None of it made sense. I was so excited to see it FINALLY land in Anchorage yesterday, and was upset when people were updating that theirs departed around 2:50 pm. Mine finally departed shortly after that and arrived in Kentucky at 1:12 am today, and import was a few hours after. I could not even believe my eyes when I got text notifications about EXCEPTIONS due to weather!!!

Thank you for sharing. Sadly, the A Team is dissolved as most of the members already received their sixies... Which makes the rest of us the "B Team". We have heard everything in this thread, from weather conditions to information pointing that maybe our devices are already close to be delivered but we haven't received them yet just because there are just too many devices to deliver and so on, or to cases like the one of our friend JavaGuru, who was left waiting at home during a whole day and now he doesn't know where his device is.
Whatever the case, it's good to hear some news from somebody that perhaps has been right there, suffering the same as all of us quietly, and now giving us another fresh point of view. good to hear from you, my friend, let's hope we get our devices tomorrow... otherwise this is going to be the longest weekend in the whole year (at least for me).

I received tracking information about twelve days after the order: I made my order on 9/12, received charge notification on 9/24, and tracking information 9/26. The cargo didn't start to move until 9/30. After that, a lot of movements, from ZhenZhou China to Incheon korea, then to Hong Kong, after a day of delay it made it to Anchorage Alaska, and finally departed to Louisville Kentucky where another day passed, and just about half hour started to move again, I hope until it reaches home

Day 5 in Preparing to Ship land. Still suck in this cardboard coffin on a cellophaned pallet. I think we've been abandoned. No movement. The phone next to me went from quizzing Siri about varities of artichokes to jabbering unintelligible syllables...Siri eventually said, "Whatever," and started humming alternative 80s tunes. I drift in and out of psychedelic slumber as my only form of escape. I dreamed of wearing a pretty Rebecca Minkoff Ditsy Flowers wristlet case and strutting my stuff down a fashion runway to thunderous applause. But no. Still wearing cardboard and plastic, marooned in China.

I was really annoyed by the perpetual Preparing period. If it ain't shipping, don't update the status. UPS hasn't yet received notification for the tracking number and Apple says it will deliver on 10/13.
Can someone remind me if there was an option to get any service other than Standard Shipping? I really wish I had select Expedited if it was offered.

Nope. In fact, I started a new order half-way through my "Preparing for shipment" wait just to see if I had forgotten the option, but there was never an option other than standard.

I believe all Apple orders are expedited. I am not aware of a faster shipping method. Once it hits Alaska, you should have your phone within 24 hours. Unless of course you hit bad weather OR catch the last flight from Anchorage to Louisville

This is my UPS love message for today - 2:42 P.M. The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made. Yeah , it will be made Monday...and I bet he will be back at the same @%$#*^ time
Had the same happen to me. I called and they said I can pick it up (along with the other two that are still in Louisville right now) at 10AM tomorrow about 5 minutes from my house.
Just a quick question. I did the same thing and had the guy put mine as Will Call pick-up; however, I have yet to see any indication that my phone is doing anything other than getting on a truck and taking a tour of the county before arriving at my house. Does your tracking show a Will Call pick up?

I'm in the same place, a visit to past years reminds me the card company will drop the pending but I'm still showing the same AMOUNT as if it was approved or pending. Also I use the app Deliveries which strangely finally gave me a day count, which it hasn't done before.
