Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

That's not actually true and would only apply to specific areas. Many of us got arrival scans in Anchorage at 12:39 PM yesterday and our phones won't be delivered until tomorrow.
Regardless, both my phones have a delivery date of Oct. 9th but I just thought it would be pretty awesome if what that other poster said was true. I'm set on the 9th but a little early surprise would be accepted as well

ME TOO!!!!!! It should arrive in about 5 1/2 hours. How exciting. Bye-bye Alaska, ain't gonna miss you! Louisville here we come! Jajajaja
I promised myself that I wouldn't check the status again until I saw someone else posted it changed and I didn't need to wait long.
I don't see mine getting delivered tomorrow taking into consideration the time to get to Louisville and then a sort there. I doubt there'd be a flight out in time to get to my center. I'm fine with Thursday and won't anticipate earlier.
Apple can about kiss my a**.......my 64 gig att 6+ went to preparing for shipment 9 days ago.....and nothing since......and as of today......I can walk in and buy the exact same phone at the local apple store.....but yet I can't because I can't cancel my order thru apple because it went preparing to ship 9 days ago......and what does apple say......I'm sorry and they have no explanation as to why joe public who didn't preorder is considered more important than me who ordered on 9/15.....i'm seriously about done waiting for them to ship my darn phone
Where do they go after Louisville? Do they go through another main "station" or whatever it's called or do they separate and go to their delivery states? I wonder if it'll head straight to Texas after Louisville (my two phones at least

That's where they sort them out to fly out to their destinations around the country.
To be fair, the majority of the phones that are being delivered are mostly iPhone 6's... The 6 Plus are taking a lot longer. The ones that are getting their 6 plus are still people that preordered like you. I'm sure you'll get the phone soon. There are still people in the processing wait who also preordered their phones, at least yours is already preparing to ship. There just seems to either be a higher demand for pluses or maybe they just take longer to make (I sure as hell have no clue though) I wanted a 6 Plus but the wait time was RIDICULOUS! Hope you get your phone within this next week

After Louisville, they go to their respective states. The packages do have to go through customs first then get sorted. Even though they will reach Louisville tonight, the chances of getting them tomorrow are pretty slim but looking great for Thursday

I would accept that explanation a lot better if I couldn't walk in to the local apple store and buy the exact same phone today!!!! They should certainly be filling all pre-orders before anybody who didn't pre-order can go in and buy one today.......It hadn't been available locally until today so I didn't have anything to complain about

Awesome! My phone made it to Louisville this morning. Does yours have an import scan yet? Or any movement from Louisville? Mine's been there for 12 hours+. Around mid-day I changed my delivery so I could pick it up at the UPS Customer Center because the UPS driver comes late-evening to my neighborhood. Now UPS tells me that it may be available for pick that day. Depending on when they approve the request. Hopefully I can pick it up on the 9th.
Anyone else have this experience?

Silver is still sitting in Louisville since they arrived together. Gold just left Anchorage and should arrive in in Louisville around 1 am eastern time zone! Both phones are in the US together F I N A L L Y jajajaja
That sucks about the pick up with UPS. I wanted to do the same but my husband advised me not to do anything for the fear that it might mess up the delivery. I think he's more paranoid at this point than me LOL.
I read somewhere that they call when the package is ready for pickup. I am probably gonna jump outta bed early that day. lol. So happy for you!
Really? Where do you live? Because looking at inventory, a 64GB 6+ is virtually impossible to find in-store...

UPS99 should be landing is KSDF in about 2.5 hours from Alaska. I hope that my phone can make the connection to UPS32 to get it out to me in hawaii tomorrow! About a 3 hour connection time from what I can tell.
