My phones have made the same journey as your and must be in the same pallet! I knew I wouldn't be able to take work off in general on either Thursday or Friday so I called my local UPS store and asked them if they would hold it at their location for pick! They did so and told me I should be able to come in the morning before work on my delivery day! I hope you get your phone soon and I hope it all works out for you!

What the "hold will call" option? Does anyone have any experience with this? Will my pick-up date/time be delayed? I actually have another item coming that day as well.

Yes. You can check the hours of your local ups distributor. Some open early some open at 3pm. My local one opens at 8am. Ups deliveries usually show up to my house after 4pm. I can go at 8am or go in after work on my on time before they close. I work Thursday but get off at 3:15pm.
Sometimes if your miss the delivery, your stuff sometimes stays on a truck. If it's on a Friday they have to take them off.
I'd say do it if you're not sure you'll be home. Or have it dropped up to a neighbors. I don't trust my neighbors so xD

Where is your package?
Right now the route is Zhenzou, Incheon, Anchorage, Lousville, and then you split ways. Nor cal people go through Ontario(not sure if it will this time since there's a direct flight to sacramento) From there it goes straight to Sacramento, then west sacramento where I'm picking it up.

I called UPS and was told that they will hold it at the customer center/facility on Thursday. So it will be waiting on me...yaaaaay!! I would have ended up there anyway on Friday or Saturday if I'd missed the delivery.

If you've just gotten there, it's gonna be there for at least 2 days. Mine stayed there for since the 11 and moved on the 14. Recheck flights in a few days. Once it leaves Zhenzou it'll move very fast. I'm already going to Lousville right now as we speak. Delivers Thursday.

Sweet. That's even closer than the once near me. I actually got the tip from a fellow user. I didn't want to stress over a missed delivery. I hate having to wait extra! Lol.
For some reason my 6 has been sitting in Incheon all day, with an arrival scan at 7:25pm local time but no movement since. It's still saying delivery on 10/17 like it has since it was shipped, but I'm getting pretty skeptical at this point.

iPhone 6 Space Gray 64GB ordered 10/13
Since I was in no hurry due to a working iPhone 5, I finally ordered my new iPhone 6 Space Gray 64GB on Monday evening, 10/13. Shows preparing for shipment. A friend ordered a 6 Silver 64GB and it shipped within 2 days or ordering.
Wanted to wait till October rolled around so I could get the Discover card 5% online shopping bonus for Oct-Dec. Also I get my $200 every two years work credit for a new smartphone.
I definitely was not as excited as I was for the 3G, 4 and 5 launches as for this one. Played with the + in the Apple Store and too big for me to use one-handed in the car. Hope the 6 will be manageable.

The day my cc was charged was the day I moved to preparing to shipped. It happened about 5 mins after it was charges. The next morning it changed to ship (This morning) and I got tracking info. It's stil in ZZ and hasn't moved to Incheon Yet. But I've heard it may take another day before it moves there.

Ordered my 64GB SG iPhone 6 from Apple.com on 10/8. It's currently on UPS99 about to land in Louisville. Looking at the outgoing flights it should be leaving for 3:30AM for San Antonio and arrive by 4:30AM. My delivery date is 10/16, but I've seen packages arrive past 4:30AM be loaded on a truck for delivery that day. So it's quite possible I'll get it tomorrow as long as it catches that San Antonio flight and it doesn't take extremely long to break down the pallet.
If your order is anything like mine (iPhone Plus -- ordered on Sep 19; shipped on Oct 11; scheduled to arrive Oct 16), it should start moving about three weeks after the order is placed.
