Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

I am team 9/30 and I got my sipment tracking yesterday. The ups website says that it will be delivered on thursday, 10/30, however, the apple email says monday, 11/3. So I pretty much have to wait from thursday to monday. But is it possible for the ups to deliver my iphone during weekend, like on saturday or sunday?
Moreover, since the delivery requires signature and during weekdays I spend most of my time in my office, does it have to be me who sign the dekivery form? Or is it ok for my wife to sign instead of myself? (My wife is a houswife so she'll stay most of times in the house)

UPS does not deliver on weekends, except for the guaranteed next day packages. Your wife should be able to sign.

Also my 6+ is supposed to be delivered on the 28th according to UPS, but as of now its still in China, will be curious to see how they get from there to my home in 3 days.

Just a little frustrating. I live only an hour outside of Louisville, so I thought there was a slim chance I got it today, I would have never guess it would be back in China.

I ordered 10/7 and got the working hard email yesterday for the silver 64gb AT&T iPhone 6 Plus. The wait has been extra brutal for me because I initially got the regular iPhone 6 at launch, spent two weeks with it, then saw my friends 6+ and decided I wanted that instead. Either way, going back to the iPhone 5 during this time has been tough.

Funny I phones Apple and they said the date is the 29th on record, which I thought was odd since the original date was supposed to be the 27th.. Apple told me it will be here by the 29th and that was the planned date.. Seems like something got messed up along the way.

That makes no sense. No company is going to ship an item and intentionally tell this shipper to stage it somewhere for an indeterminate period of time just to match the arbitrary date provided in the shipping email. What's in it for Apple to make the customer wait a few extra days for no reason?? I guarantee these delays or whatever are totally on UPS and they just don't want to cop to it...

What does it matter what I will say? Secondly, the plane it's on its destined for Anchorage. Departure scan matches exact time of flight.

Same with mine. Don't really get why it went from China to Korea and back to China. Interesting, but probably not getting it Monday 10/27 as originally UPS tracking showed. Wonder what the heck happened there!

I know this is not a thread for iPad purchases, but just as a comparison, I ordered an iPad Air 2 with an original delivery date of Friday, October 24 and October 24 it changed to Monday, October 27... The point is, things change and we will never know why!

Everyone stop freaking. If you follow this thread you'll see that nearly everyone gets their phone on the estimated delivery date that shows on the ups tracker. Even after they freak out about it sitting in China Or Korea for a few days.

You won't get it earlier. Save your self some stress and don't think about it til the date ups says it'll be there.
