Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

For wondering minds: Ordered an iPhone 6+ 64GB, SG, unlocked on 31 Oct. Original delivery window was 2-8 Dec. 18 Nov order changed to "Preparing for Shipment" and my credit card was charged. 12 hours later got an email that my order was shipped. Now scheduled to deliver to Atlanta area via UPS with standard shipping on 25 Nov.

So yours went from "Preparing" to "Shipped" in 12 hours? Is that a normal expectation? One of my phones is "Preparing" but has been in that state for about 24 hours. What is the general experience of the time to go to shipping from preparing?

Mine took about 18 hours.

Thanks, will keep monitoring. I expect it may be more complex with them splitting an order, if they actually will do that. They charged for one of the two phones in the order, and only one has changed to preparing. Happy to get at least one of them (my wife's in this case) sooner.

So the Gold 128GB has a scan of:

Called UPS, and they are unable to change the address, as Apple has restricted them from doing so, but I probably was too fast. I expect if I had waited until it got fully into the UPS system I may have been able to adjust it, but called Apple instead and they are changing the ship to address. Indicated it may cause a 1 or 2 day delay, but that will be fine as we are traveling and it is going to a hotel we will be at for a week. (famous last words)
 
Flight tracking?

OK, so my delivery address change will likely affect my shipment timing, but now am trying to remember the link for tracking the flights out of Zheng Zhou. Can someone refresh my memory?

i want to cry but it has frozen, i have not had a phone for two weeks, and i called ups, they tell me it is wih customs, its an iphone not a freaking dynamite! ordered since oct 31, i wish i just stuck to my q5 my last month data plan wasted

all his for an iphone 64 gig gold, first apple phone and the journey seems miserable already i hope it is worth it,

Showed up at local store so I did a new order for store pickup and canceled original which was still processing one week later. 6/64 sg unlocked
 
Shipping Delay

I've ordered two iPhone 6 64GB on November 12th, a gray for me and a silver for my wife. The expected delivery date was from Nov 24 to Nov 28, but for some reason Apple changed it yesterday to Nov 28 - Dec 3. Has anyone else experienced such change? Might it be due to Holidays?

Or not.... The next update shows it in Louisville, estimated delivery tomorrow, but with an 'exception' for an address change. The UPS chat support team indicated that the new address is not in their system yet, but should be processed today, delaying the arrival a day but going to the 'new' ship to address! Cool. Now if MY phone (Space Grey, this is my wife's gold) would ship I'd be a happy camper!!!

9/13 - Looks like Apple.com orders are moving to preparing for shipment also

Now waiting on the tracking numbers... :) .

9/14 - Seems like there is some buzz about getting ups tracking numbers at www.ups.com when you search by reference. Will update when we get more verification.

Ordered on the 12th and today it changed to "preparing to shipment" (ordered on Apple Austria website)
 
Canceled a long back ordered (from 9/19) 6Plus 128/SG from AT&T and ordered 2 iPhones direct from Apple.

6Plus SG/64
6 Si/64

Due in before Christmas :apple: :cool:

So got the ship to address changed, and her Gold phone will deliver on Monday. And just got the "shipped" notice for my Space Grey phone, but should get home within a couple of days of its arrival (it is scheduled for the Friday after Thanksgiving), so will not try to adjust the ship to address for it.

So the Gold shipped several weeks early, and the Space Grey a week early. Hopefully that is good news for other folks waiting.
 
My delivery changed from 11/26-12/2 to 12/2-12/5??

What happened?

On 11/14 I had called a local Apple store to see about stock, and since there were no SG 6, 64GB to be found locally, I ended up letting her process my order over the phone. I doubt that matters as far as when I will get the phone :roll eyes:

But I'd still like to know why my date was pushed out :(

Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

Oh I ordered the same day, from Apple.ca but my 6+ Gold is 64 gb. I've been checking every hour and it is still "PROCESSING" ;(. I'm hoping tomorrow will be the day. What was your original delivery date?
