I think it's all about tv... new feature for appletv, new appletv, more things tv I'm really not waiting for?

since the speed-bumps + all things quad-core have been announced before I really don't think we need to expect anything on the computer side, it will all be about how many iPhone's there have been sold, how well iTunes is doing, how well the movie side of iTunes is doing and starting the movie/tvshow rental part (which we all know already) maybe they will even let someone from MS show us the new office :p

so as it has been for the last couple of times (in my perspective, not generalizing here) nothing new what I need, yes idd the iPhone didn't even got my heart beating faster -and that has nothing to do with the fact that we still have to wait for the belgian release-

*ducks now for all the rocks that people will throw at me (or some bricked iPhone's hehe)*

One day more!
Another day, another new display.
This never-ending road to the Bay;
Everybody knows the time;
The Apple Store will have a line
One day more!

That is the best thing I've ever read on MacRumors. :D

I am quite amused about the terminology saying that the MWSF Keynote can be watched pre-recorded on Apple's website on the afternoon of the same day.
I assume you meant just recorded instead of pre-recorded. Otherwise it would mean recorded before it is recorded. Isn't it ???!!! :eek:

I don't see the problem with that. After all, they did it in Spaceballs. :D

Two major issues with that "iPhone @ Home" banner:

One - it has to violate SF fire codes so the Fire Marshall would be all over it.

Two - why the heck would Apple, after being so effective at keeping stuff secret, unfurl a huge banner with a new product in the middle of the day in the middle of a wall of glass windows with everyone standing in front of said wall with a camera?

In the past, has Apple unfurled banners at MacWorld with new products launched at the keynote? If they have not, then that's a third major problem right there.

I know we're all starved for info, and speculation is fun, but people are trying way too hard to "scoop" something that cannot be scooped...

It doesn't matter if it is real or not. At least it would be an innovation, as opposed another notebook. ;) My only hope out of all this is that the iphone SDK will be released and someone will develop Back to my Mac for the iphone.

Granted I love small laptops, but sony, asus, dell and a lot of others have done it before. The only advantage Apple has is OSX.

Nice fake... whom ever made it - next time make sure when you draw a black banner thats floating to not make it perfectly square. Rotate it a little ;0

it's not perfectly square?, you've drawn it on like it is?

do you think the fact that the background of the banner is black has anything to do with it. Maybe this super slim mac is black...with a silver apple...

they could have made the banners white or silver..but they picked black... a hint?

thoughts?

Yes I have a thought.

Apple's banners are always black.

That's not entirely true. Plenty have been white, multi-colored, etc. It depends on the product line being promoted, and whatever the marketing direction happens to be that time of year. Sure the trend has been towards black, but even last year's MWSF wasn't all black.

I think tMac85's thought was a really good one, though. Picturing that banner/teaser's treatment on a slim notebook would look really great, esp. with the product name in the light weight font. Even if the name was, say, MacLiteBook... hahaha.

edit: FressState beat me to it, with evidence even.

I don't know...I'm no photoshop wiz, but it looks pretty convincing. Look at the reflection in the floor. You can see the iphone edges if you look closely. And look at the man on the right...he sure looks like he's looking at a big black banner to me :)

Don't Wait For The Apple Stream!!

LMAO!

..Ermm.. Ok, Apple is definitely teasing us...

But I swear, this year I'll wait for the keynote clip to watch it spoiler free! No MacRumors for me! not even a peek! Or... Mail.app will trick me by alerting to a new mail in my inbox making me look at the application but when it opens... my MacRumors RSS Feed shows up!! Thus destroying all existence!

You'll be making a huge mistake. I "watched" Steve introduce the iPhone on MacRumors.Com last year. During the presentation I called my stock broker three different times ordering more stock buys. It was in mid-$80's at that time. Needless to say, this was a good move ... a VERY good move.:)

It's just the name for an Airport Extreme in the Japanese market. "Airport", lest we forget, does also have a meaning other than an Apple branded product. ;)

Chances are the potential mistranslation was deemed to confusing for the Asian market.

In Japan, the name "AirPort" had already been registered by I-O DATA, causing Apple to sell it under the name "AirMac" there.
