I have lived in California, Florida, and outside the country (Europe and Japan). Never heard of Wegmans before. Looking them up, their HQ is in NY. Goes to figure. They are probably east coast elites who only poll themselves on questions to get the answers they want.

Ummm... look up #3, Publix Super Markets, my noisy friend.

Wegmans is a great store and I'm not surprised to see them high on this list. I wish we would get Wegmans in California.

It is not a particularly high end store, so I think you are off on the elite thing.

I'm stunned that Johnson & Johnson is that high. I guess a good PR campaign (A family company) can cover a lot of bull squirt, ehh.

SC Johnson is the Family company and is not related to Johnson and Johnson the drug company.

Actually, Wegmans is based in the western portion of New York State, more associated with the Rust Belt than 'east coast elites.' They continually rank as one of the best places to work so it's not too surprising that some of that reputation would spill over into a poll like this.

Yup. Their supermarkets are great and they, like Costco treat their people well.

The fact that Halliburton, Monsanto, and Yahoo! all appear over 50% tells you all you need to know about the reliability of the "data" used here.

Glad to see Tesla on there. I hope to one day become a customer. I gained a lot of respect for Musk recently when I saw a clip of him tearing up when a reporter was interviewing him about how several prominent astronauts from the Apollo era—his heroes growing up—had basically crapped all over him during some hearings about private space flight. The man can be awkward, but he gets stuff done and has more vision that most anyone else out there at the moment. I also gained more respect when I saw him recently talking about the coming problems with automation and the need for basic income and the psychological problems that arise when people are no longer needed to work because robots and AI have replaced them. This is something that I've talked about a great deal over the past couple years, on these forums and elsewhere. So I'm glad that he is bringing attention to this massive future problem now so that we can get more people thinking of solutions.

Utterly bizarre. Amazon, infamous for terrible warehouse conditions on top. Chick-Fil-A (helped fund viciously homophobic campaigns) and Hobby Lobby (opposes providing healthcare on religious grounds) above inclusive, supportive companies like Starbucks and American Express?

The findings of this look more like a poll of the right wing than real data.

In the UK Amazon has something of a reputation for not paying tax and for bullying its workers.

Which really means nothing for a US survey of their reputation

Amazon should not be at the top!

So you are complaining about amazon from the UK being on top because of your experience, but the survey is about amazon in the US.

Yea but it's still the company Amazon, doesn't matter if it's US or U.K. I'm complaining about Amazon and their service lately.

I'm calling bulls**t on this one.

You would think so, huh? Actually had an issue with an online order from Walmart last week and the rep on the phone had it fixed before I could even completely explain the situation. Phone call clocked in at under two minuets. (Disclaimer: I hate Walmart, they just happened to have something priced slightly better than some other online shops and I didn't speak with my wallet. Yeah, I'm a hypocrite.)

Yes, they could, if they would making things like exploding phones or released failed products like Google Plus and Google Glass.

But they don't.

No Android OEM above 75%, Microsoft in 20th!

Strangely, or not, this topic is lacking the usual comments from the usual suspects here, @69Mustang, @AppleScruff1 , @ILuvEggplant, @Chupa Chupa, @Cineplex, @AidenShaw, @MH01, @bladerunner2000 , etc....
Everyone's still hanging out in the "Apple Loses Fourth Place..." thread waiting on you to provide that mysterious "apple data". you mentioned over there.:) Besides, judging by the number of comments, this topic doesn't interest anyone much at all.

lol Amazon
They don't look after the warehouse workers
They dodge tax
They have little quality control over the goods on their site
Their products are full of fake reviews.

Surely this chart should be "who can cut corners and get away with it".

Some of us have lives outside of this forum you know.

Because this forum is infested with Apple haters, the Apple fans have left.
Maybe if you bothered to figure out why that is you would realize the Apple haters were once Apple's biggest fans. There is more to your observation than meets the eye.

These polls are getting a bit scary and look to have a hidden agenda. We're rating corporations, many of which avoid tax, on how much we like them.

The methodology in this might be a bit off. Amazon has real reputational issues around, tax, how it treats workers, fake goods, fake reviews, and using sales data from stores selling on Amazon to squeeze them out.

Other companies with serious reputational issues have also scored much higher than you'd expect

Does it really surprise you, when the US president the majority voted for embodies all that and more?

Well thank goodness we have members like you. Tireless defenders of all things Apple. What would MR be without your diligence and dogged determination to rid this forum of any contrary opinion? We owe you, and those like you, an un-repayable debt. So, thank you.

The majority did not vote for the president - at best he was elected from the votes of maybe 23% of the eligible voter population.

I've personally had a good experience with the customer services of both Amazon and Apple.

Inverse your statement and it's your picture.

No, I'm just a normal user that knows what's real besides all the BS.
