I work in IT, and you'd be surprised at a) how much a restart fixes and b) how many people don't think of that.

Everyone should be running the latest version of iOS for security and performance reasons.
You know, I really get annoyed with comments like this. People have preferences and reasons to stay on older IOSs.

Yea, people should be running the latest model cars for safety and performance reasons too.

No. Security counts! If you use an old iPad 4 ok, then you are stuck anyway.

No what the person who paid for the device wants to do with it counts.

It's their device!

Stop telling other people what to do with their stuff. It's not your concern nor does it impact you in any way.

Sure it does. An iPhone user, a friend of mine could have stored photos where I´m on, just as an example. I do not want to find our private photos on the net, just one example.

Mine keeps asking me to update the same app all over again even though I have already updated it (iOS 12)
me too! the same 3 apps keep on updating......odd

Telegram and iDevices Connected app keep prompting me to update. It's downloading the old version it seems. Just have to wait till they sort this out.

trying to install Mojave on my MBP today and overtime I try to install it I get this message " Installation requires downloading important content. That content can't be downloaded at this time. Try again later.

Would you risk subjecting yourself to Apple's vengeful engineers who have seen their stock options/ RSU's/ wealth go down by people holding on to their phones longer? I really fear what they will unleash with iOS13 on users holding on to older devices to increase sales next year.

Maybe Google is taking revenge on Apple after Apple removed googles certificates.

Since most of Apples services are still hosted on googles servers. Just thinking, lol.

My thoughts exactly.... That would be like the government saying you can drive a car on the roads if it is older than 3 years.

Still not able to use AirPlay 2 to send music to HomePod speakers via iTunes on a machine running High Sierra. Okay from another machine running Mojave. I may have been hit by the double whammy of a buggy new iTunes release *and* this authentication bug.

[Edit] Yes, it's looking like they broke Airplay2 on High Sierra.

***UPDATE****
As of midnight February 2, AppStore and Apple Music are back to normal.

Makes me wonder if this was somehow related to the work they were doing on their servers for FaceTime bug.

Also it shows once more, how much the IOS devices are tied to Apple with an umbilical cord, unlike Macs running macOS, which can be resurrected from dead without the need of Apple's services as long as there is a full image backup at hand.

Pillow app has been showing 'Update' for over a week now. First thing this morning, still wants to update itself.
Only app on my iPhone that does this. Oddly, it's the same app on the iPad Pro too.
I've signed out and back in too iCloud with no effect. I'll just wait it out.

I don't want to lose any of my sleep tracking data.

Telegram has been fixed, but Skype stays the same.

Sounds like it should all be back to normal now.

iTunes under High Sierra still can't do AirPlay 2 to stereo-paired HomePods. But this may be an issue with iTunes itself, since it lost that ability around the same time as the most recent iTunes update.
