I like the name Mac OSX to stay Mac OSX. iOS should be for mobile products only.

Not a fan of the "i" this and "i" that... but, it's probably inevitable.
As anticipated - there goes the Macintosh and it's valued operating system. Pros not updated, no real innovation in the Mac branded computers, MBA not renewed...
Another indication to say good bye to the Macintosh Computer line. Apple is really focusing these days only on the consumer portable device. Sad day indeed...![]()
This seems like the best idea.
Mac OS X is indeed doomed.![]()
Wha??? ... with massive emphasis on the word arguably.
I'm not a fan of the "iOS" moniker, but I recognize that they can't keep using "OS X" forever. That started 10 years ago! "OS XI" doesn't have quite the same ring to it either.
Time for Mac OS X is doomed comments.

Why? All "peice of junk" software runs quite happily on Apple hardware.I could care less what they call it. But if they change it to be more like iOS then i will have to buy a peice of junk
Don't you mean 'it's probably iNevitable' ?
