Those of us that have been around since the days of .Mac or even the free iTools get especially frustrated when all of hiccups happen as a result of Apple rebranding what we already use. And used to pay for.

no email

No iCloud email and mobile me email is gone. I have no email anywhere. No device email either. This is bad. Very bad.

What would Steve have done?

He was disappointed after the bad MobileMe launch... And now with all the iOS5 bugs and iCloud-errors...

Nonsense. I have no problems accessing my iCloud account, and iOS5 was smooth sailing for me and everyone I know. You're talking about tens of millions of simultaneous downloads - there's bound to be a handful of problems. There ARE limits to technology.

I can't log in to my email at iCloud.com, through my iPhone mail app, or through my Mac mail app. :( Haven't been able to all day.

iCloud deleted twice my documents in the cloud, I hope it's just a temporary issue because it would be great if I can rely on iCloud having my files safe in the future.

My only frustration would be the desire to merge my .Mac account (from which my apps and music are purchased) with my former MobileMe account (which I use for email, contacts and calendars). Until then, I'm living in two different worlds. Not ideal.

My iCloud transition went very well yesterday, but today I can't check my email (neither on Mac nor iCloud.com). Says password is rejected. Everything else works fine though.

Can you get into the site itself. I was having a password problem, and ended up needing to change it to one that also included a capital letter and a number - been working fine since.

Missing Apps in the the cloud

I tried deleting a bunch of large apps from my phone and desktop in order to clear space to get the update working (it was probably just overloaded Apple servers in the end).

I expected I'd just re-download all the apps again. The worst thing about the process is it has screwed up the location of every app on my phone and it's taking ages to get them all back where I want them. But in the process I've just noticed I'm missing a load of apps and they aren't appearing in my purchased for redownload in iTunes on either Mac or iPhone.

Fortunately I was able to restore them from a Time Machine backup, but in all 19 apps simply went missing. Now I'm not sure whether to go ahead and delete all the duplicates I've got on my Mac. How can I be certain I'll ever be able to re-download them again when my Time Machine backups expire?

This whole issue is very aggrivating for many and disappointing for most others.

With their big server farm, Apple should have been prepared for the big rush! Especially since the MobileMe debacle of a few years ago.

No excuses necessary. MobileMe/iCloud mail is not my primary email service and if it was I'd be very pissed over this!

Tim and his team can do better!!

I'm sure it'll get worked out.

Hey! At least we're bot on Blackberries.

(apoplgies to Blackberry users)
*snicker*

Yup, having issues with my old .Mac ... I mean MobileMe ... no I mean iCloud email.

I can easily log in but it just won't let me access my mails.

Startup Issues

Mail is totally down for me. I get an error message and the option to report to apple. It was working fine yesterday. BTW, anyone who lost their contacts in the transition from MobileMe to iCloud should have read the screen during the transition. It told you to make sure at least one of your devices had all of your contacts and was backed up. iCloud transfers your contacts from your device, not MobileMe.

I call bs. Apple doesn't have issues. You're using it wrong.
You have lost your mind.

Having same issue as everyone else. All iCloud services work except mail. Using same password to login so I know it is not that but iPhone/iMac reject said password.

I have sent the error message via apple reports when logging into mail online and I have called their support. Only thing the support team said was that they were experiencing "outages" but did not know about mail specifically. No solution at this time.

Ever since upgrading our iPhone 4 to iOS 5, we've had tremendous LAGS and DELAYS when typing text, such as typing the text in this comment field right now. These delays are ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE in Mail, where it sometimes takes 10 SECONDS for Mail to process what we're typing. This is tremendously annoying, and makes our iPhone 4 completely unusable!! Why did you do this to us, Apple?

Havnt experienced anything of the sort in Mail or iMessage. Did a manual backup before upgrading to iTunes 10.5 and clean restore with the GM, all is well (apart from the mail downtime noted above).

That said, the entire iCloud/Mobile Me move thing is greatly annoying, mostly for reasons outlined here already

Email password rejection

Well, I upgraded to iCloud and all seemed well. I even got a welcome email into my MobileMe email account ...

... and then, once my email account in Mail had been converted, my password continues to be rejected. No such problems with my Android phone, though, which is happily signalling each newly received iCloud/MobileMe/.Mac email. How odd! :)

I can't log in to iCloud mail on any device - Mac, iPhone, or even the website. My computer and iPhone keep saying my password is incorrect. It all worked last night and earlier this morning.

Same here, iPhone, iPad and computer... invalid password prompt
And on the iCloud web site mail will not load...

Me too

My MoibleMe email had not work for about two weeks or so and Apple more or less told me that it was my fault, but we're working on it. And now after a two hour ordeal of switching to iCloud then updating to 10.7.2 it still does not work and I lost my contact for the forth time since Snow Leopard.

I have been using Mac PC's for 20 years and Apple still tells I did something wrong yet the Genius's have no clue and they are still geniuses.

28 over 18 is a 55.5% increase, not a 50% increase. Just thought I'd throw that out there ...
