Well, that one can be configured with up to 128 GiB RAM. The M1 iMac only goes to 16.

That'll change with future ARM chips, I'm sure, but for now, that's a pretty big limitation.
I presume the iMac Pro and Mac Pro will have an M1X chip with large memory capacities.

It's official, I bought my last iMac in 2015. Next will be the Mini with a third party curved ultra wide. I'll certainly be saving a ton of money this way. Just need 10gig Ethernet and I'm there.
The M1 mini was updated yesterday with 10 Gb Ethernet.

But how exactly are you saving money? $1300 for a decently equipped mini, and then how much for a display? At least $1k to get into the range of something that competes with the iMac's display. That's way more than an iMac.

Yeah, launching an iMac Pro (will the replacement of the 27-inch iMac be the new iMac Pro? Will there be two separate products? Was the iMac Pro brand a one-and-done thing?) or Mac Pro without way more memory doesn't make sense. Launching low-end laptops and desktops with 16 GiB is fine, though.

I sure hope those pro desktops won't be the only Macs this year with more than 16, though.
