I think Apple is doing this wrong, the airtags should be hidden. If the wrong sort of person finds something with a visible airtag, first thing they’ll do is separate them from it so they won’t be found.
yea. so far it's aging well though. but i also don't use the hell out of it either.

The colors are too light in my opinion. I wish Apple would offer dark shade colors.
such as red, black, royal blue.
They had those at the beginning. I got the Product RED leather key ring. Did they discontinue them?
Did you know Apple Maps on the iPhone keeps track of where you parked your car?i have one in my car. it can be pretty helpful with street parking.
You just search for 'car' and it'll show you - presumably it uses the location that your phone's Bluetooth disconnected from the car as you left it.

To answer my own question, Product RED leather loops and key rings are still showing up on the site. So, not discontinued.
Exactly. I considered getting one for my keys but I don't want something that cumbersome.
If somebody moves you car without your knowledge or permission, the location recorded in Apple Maps will become out-of-date. That's when the Air Tag will really come in handy.
They really need to concentrate on production of the Airbags themselves, I ordered a four pack on June 19th and they still haven't shipped.
My Apple leather keyring is holding up well. I have no real complaints other than it is priced about $10 too much, in my opinion.
If they had a key-ring hole in them I'd have bought AirTags. But since each one is like £50 with the 'mandatory' holder, it's not worth it. Classic Apple.
so do you need to use apple maps actively for this to work? also, i don't usually connect to my car via bluetooth. and lastly — if my car gets stolen — i'd like to see its updated location

b) I'm guessing it's reliant on that to work, but maybe it uses some other magic
c) Yeah sure, no good for that - but still very useful to find a parked car
