I've had my launch AirPods replaced three times for free. Apple hands out replacements as soon as you say "one of them is too quiet or doesn't connect properly" and the warranty resets so I don't really see a need for this.

If they are replaced from the Bar, the warranty does not reset. If they are replaced with “finished goods” (in the original packaging) it does reset.

I had the left AirPod, 2x right AirPod replaced separately, from the Bar. The warranty definitely does reset.

Dang....I can’t get this, I’m outside the 60 day window, just called them and tried. Why can’t they announce these things with product launches so that everything lines up. Sad....

How much is it to replace the AirPods and PowerBeats Pro battery anyway? If you buy for $29 and pay the $29 deductible later on, you're out $58. Is that still cheaper than to replace the battery out of warranty?

I know that one AirPod, either the left or right is $80 to replace

Are there any alternatives to AppleCare for AirPods Pro that covers 3 years or more? Disappointing that AppleCare only adds 1 extra year of coverage.

After two years it is time to buy new full price AirPods anyhow.

I purchased AppleCare+for $29 when I purchased my AirPods Pro on Oct. 30, 2019. It provides coverage for 1 year.

Am I correct that Apple extended the 1 year to a 2 year plan for the same price as the old plan. I guess I will be contacting Apple support for clarification and to see if they retro-active this.

This is an old thread. The coverage you got is this coverage.

I purchased my AirPods Pro on Nov 1 and bought AppleCare+ today which is within the 60 day window. It is extra nice that the warranty coverage ends on 12/25/2021; so they started the warranty from today instead of my original purchase date. That gives me an "extra" 2 months of coverage.
