Are they going to allow reviews to be displayed in chronological order?

It makes 0 sense that you cannot sort the reviews.

Why would anyone want to see an old review that isn’t for the current/latest version of the app?

Please allow copy text, able to view full subject/title in the rating comment section, e-mail the developer within the AppStore, and have a conversation with the developer in the rating comment section.

Ability to pick and chose which version of app you want to download.

I haven’t used iTunes in years. I did buy songs off of it years ago but with my music now coming via subscriptions and my backups all up in the cloud now I kind of load my way from it. Apple services have long been clear as mud to me.

It is still a pain to only be able to get to the iOS App Store on an iOS device. It was so much easier when I could access it from iTunes on macOS.
I agree. They keep making it harder to look for cross platform apps. I have iPhone, iPad, Mac, and ATV.. so I give preference to apps from companies that support all the platforms. Apps that sync between devices I’m more likely to get. Why can’t I see ALL the apps? I understand I can’t buy a Mac app on an iPhone, but at least search them all from the same place.

Ok this might be a seriously dumb question but how do you get to the web based App Store?

I only ever managed to get there using a link that already goes to some application, but I’ve never found any search. Except the page with the top 2000 or something apps.

I'm doing exactly this, though I do wonder how much longer it'll work.

Does 10.6.3 work with High Sierra? That's ONE of the reasons I haven't gone to HS on my main machine.
Does 10.6.3 handle iOS11? I have an iPad Air (1) that will stay on iOS10 until they pry it from my cold dead fingers, or things really improve -- haha, but I also had an iPad mini 3 that I upgraded and 10.6.3 didn't seem to like it. That would be ONE of the reasons for not upgrading the Air.

Thanks!

Yep. . . still running 12.6.2. No plans to update until there is a good reason or I screw up. ;-)

12.6.3 is not going to byte you
It's still working as 12.6.2. The only difference is that when you connect iphone 8 or 8 plus it will recognize it, maybe the X as well. Before, when you connected your iPhone 8 it was shutting down and asking to update to 12.7 and up.

Confirmed: "This special "business edition" of iTunes includes compatibility with iOS 11, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X."It's not clear how long Apple will offer iTunes 12.6.3, and the company does not provide technical support for this version, but for those who want the functionality it could be a useful makeweight until Apple comes up with an alternative solution."

iTunes 12.6.3 is working just fine with me. I'm running High Sierra and syncing two devices both running iOS 11 and all is well.

Nice cleanup but ..
Too bad that you cannot check the reviews by date or by ratings anymore. Same in iOS
Ratings = useless :(
To check those you need to go in the Mac App store or to have iTunes 12.6.3
Actually, you can get to the old-style listing in iTunes 12.7 as well — at least for now... Click on the developer name on the new preview pages, and you'll get an old-school "iTunes Preview" page, and if you click the "View in iTunes" button there, it will take you to the same search results within iTunes. If you then click on an app, you're shown the page for that app within iTunes, using the same old design as before. It's slightly convoluted workaround, but it sounds more complicated than it is — it's actually only three clicks to get there.

Presumably Apple still needs to retain the old App Store pages for iTunes 12.6.3 (and older versions — I'm sure there are still Mavericks users out there :) ), and since it's one big webkit framework under the hood, it makes sense that the links would still work, as long as you can get at them within iTunes itself.

So the App Store design for iOS and web browsers was changed. Will the macOS App Store design be the next target?
