I tested two of the three aspects of the "Keep me logged in for two weeks" feature:
- Log me in. That's always worked.
- Remember me the next time I stop by. That didn't work for me until this week.
- Stop remembering me after 2 weeks. We'll see, but I don't really care if this part works or not!
This is going to be the next biggest update to the service that will help prove it's worth to many, including Windows users.
I am happy for the enhancements/fixes of bugs as well, but being able to use Mobile Me in other browsers will make it a service that you can truly access from anywhere.
try replacing the data on mobileme with what's on your computer. The option to do this is in the MobileMe pane in system preferences.
Does anyone actually use the web apps? I thought it was an awesome idea, but I've only used the mail app once, and never used any of the other apps.
Pretty Funny. I use it for everything except mail. I freelance a lot and I don't keep anything related to it on my work computer. Address Book, iDisk, photos and iCal (when it worked) are extremely useful when away from home.
I tried this once before with no luck, but I'll give it another shot tonight.

I only use Mobileme to retain my old ***@mac.com address and the syncing between my Macs and iPhone…

It really is about time. MobileMe has been treated just like .Mac. Add a feature, then you don't hear from them for a year.
Yes, plenty of people use them. I use them constantly. They work briliantly. Why wouldn't someone use them?
If you use Mobile Me for email, and you use a computer to check your email (a few people do this) then yea, the Web Apps become useful.
If you are on your own home computer, yeah you can use Mail/iCal/Address Book. But only if its you're computer and i jump around a lot during the day. I prefer the web based apps and look forward to their future.

I tried it with IE7 and it seemed to work fine, even though as you log in it tells you that it will be slower and some things may not work.
I never use the web apps.

You can always get an iPod touch.
I love Mobile Me, works great everywhere on my multiple platforms and does what is advertised with virtually no issues,
but I agree with you and others who would love to see it compatible with IE. Sometimes you need to access your account on a lousy computer in a hotel lobby, etc.
I actually rather offended by this. By enhancement do they mean mobileme might work.....

I felt the same way, but not it's more of a: at least they got it working, and now I won't be bothered much with it (hopefully).
I just got another year of MobileMe as a gift, so looks like I'll be using it for another year, so I'm glad it'll keep working.
Does anyone know if mobile me sync with contacts
now supports your ringtone selection?
I still manually sync my contacts to avoid having
my ringtone prefs reset to default when mobile me syncs.
I like the new push from my iCal and Address book on my mac to the cloud.
