how on earth is a insulator installed UNDERNEATH the metal going to prevent interference from bridging the two antennas?

my guess is that they implement a design similar to the original iphone which had a plastic bottom. if they replaced the bottom piece of metal spanning from one black strip to the strip on the other side and place that metal underneath the plastic, the problem will be solved.

Still sounds like total bs, the metal band around the phone IS the antenna? How is insulating the INSIDE of it going too help? Lmfao

Oh snap beat me too it ^^^^

I'm not really having a problem,I can get it to drop to one bar but so far that's as far as it'll goes it doesn't go to no service, even at work in the computer room.

I wonder how they would do it for the ones with the phone already. I'm about 80+miles from an Apple store. If they are doing over night to the repair center and over night back. I may consider it. Shipping it off wouldn't be too much of a problem if i didn't have get a new sim or sim adapter to use in my 3G to hold me over.

I'd almost rather have the option of having a $100 credit :D

Ouiji Board? Crystal ball?

Seriously ... no one can wait till tomorrow to see what Apple ACTUALLY proposes to fix the problem before they start whining about being screwed? Do they really think that Apple is going to say to people who's phones are less than 30 days old that they are out of luck?

There is ample evidence of Apple doing right by customers in this situation. When they dropped the price of the original refund months after release, they issued credits to early purchasers. If you buy a Mac product within 30 days of the release of a new version, they will let you return it and upgrade to the new version at no cost.

Apple gets paid to worry about how they are going to fix, modify, replace the defective phones so you don't have to. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and wait till tomorrow to see what they say.

Once again early adopters got screwed.

no one is forcing you to buy something the day it is released....people even can be quoted before the ip4 release saying "ill wait until the first bugs are worked out before i get mine".
