Agree...but over half the world's population is Asian.
So there is THAT angle.
Expect to see less and less content for (or featuring) white people. We are a dying breed to the TV/Ad/Movie industry.
Even my beloved SuperHero franchises are becoming more diverse![]()
Yes, I read it and yes, I liked it. Whether it will translate into a great TV show depends on what you expect from TV.Anyone read it? It’s dull.
They are making original content. All they need is one hit show.Tim, Netflix called and they are laughing. Not sure what this bit player video service will be, but there is sooo much catching up to do with other services.
I bought it on my kindle but haven't gotten round to reading it yet.Yes, I read it and yes, I liked it. Whether it will translate into a great TV show depends on what you expect from TV.
"Pachinko chronicles the lives of four generations of a poor Korean immigrant family as they migrate to and establish a life in Japan."
....starring Scarlett Johansson!

So is Apple going to be supplementing this service with access to older network TV shows? Or is it only going to be new content they’re funding? I think it will be harder to sell that as a stand alone service.
And these poor people believe that Asians are more interested in stories about Asians, instead of good stories. There's a world outside of the USA, but 40% of Americans don't even have a passport.
Are you bragging or complaining? Personally, I'd be complaining, and I'm in the US.Europe has similar tastes to the US market.
This is a website, not a channel. This story is about a tv show, not a car. This whole Apple Channel is becoming the new "Apple is coming out with a new electric car".
Stop yapping about it, and just DO IT!!!
what if someone here is writing a novel, book, HBO series or bazooka joe comic strip about a tech talk websites, and are researching for their script?Let's hear the wisdom from the non-writers, non-directors who hang out on a tech website why this show is such a bad idea, ever before they've ever seen or know of anything about how it'll be conceived. I can pick any popular show, and if it didn't exist, I could tell you the concept and you'd shoot it down as a terrible idea that wouldn't work. The idea is but one part of a complex matrix which decides whether a show works or doesn't. And even then there's subjectivity. None of you doubters have a clue what you are talking about.
maybe bundle unlimited icloud + apple music + apple streaming + texture magazinehonestly i doubt they will get into streaming outside product. the rights are a mess to deal with. making the question really if this will be merged with Apple Music as some kind of Apple Media service or stand on its own
$29.99 to be exactmaybe bundle unlimited icloud + apple music + apple streaming + texture magazine
$12.95-14.95 sounds a fair price (similar to prime) - however, Apple will probably want $20+
The Terror drug on for far too longTo be fair, Hugh's credit on Under The Dome as a writer is only for one episode. There's not much that could have been done to save that show in 42 minutesI hear The Terror was excellent bu I haven't watched it yet. Interesting many of the credits are sci-fi/horror in some way.
