Same here. I’m still using my Series 2 until then or I’m gifted a new Apple Watch.
I have a series 3, and waiting... I have no issues with it, but may replace it some day when the extra features are worth upgrading. Actually, I never had plans to buy an Apple Watch until my wife got me one for our anniversary. The first week I was about to return it anew get something else, but then I started to love it. Now it’s an essential accessory for everyday use.

Pff, I can think of an easier way to measure hydration, just use an inbuilt camera to analyze the color of your urine! Ezpz

(in case this flys over anyone’s head, yes this post is satire)

Apple, & others, apply for patent apps, in-part, to keep competitors for gaining an upper-hand, even if they have NO intention of ever putting it in a product.
And to have for defense when someone sues for patent use.
That’s more complicated, unless they figure out a completely different way to take these measurements (High/low blood pressure). Currently, pressure needs to be applied to the blood flow to be able to obtain a reading. Maybe there’s another way to do this without having to wear a big fat wrist band.
Maybe implant a BlueTooth (or other wireless) pressure sensor in your bloodstream. I've read that the gold standard method of determining blood pressure is a needle with a pressure sensor of some kind. Someone else posted about a similar glucose monitor.

It will be in your hand and will also contain your ID chip, so you just wave it over the ID scanner. :):)

A watch that measured blood sugar without using a needle would be pointless.
This was sarcasm right?...very subtle one..

Doing a quick math I did 15330 pricks in my fingers..and perhaps i'm being conservative with that number, I can't afford 15 days sensors out there so..I'd be the damn first in line if they ever got that achievement.

An Hydration sensor...well..its welcome but it ain't a reason for an upgrade from a six to a seven.

Just a suggestion, if you didn't try already. If you are not able to get cover for the more expensive CGMs like the Dexcom, the FreeStyle Libre from Abbott is much less costly and easier to get. It may not be as precise and interactive as the Dexcom G6, but it is miles better than having to prick yourself constantly.

Woah! Apple watch just keeps getting better and better. However, I would want Apple to introduce body temperature sensor.
This looks useful. Still waiting for blood pressure though.
Ever seen this in a hospital?

Bioelectrical impedance analysis is an extremely popular method for assessment of body composition. Despite its wide-spread use over the past thirty years, its accuracy and clinical value is still questioned. Most frequently, criticisms focus on its purported poor absolute accuracy and that different impedance analysers or prediction equations fail to measure body composition identically.

Yeah apple must have cracked it.. or not. This will never see the light of day..

Nice, but I'm waiting for blood sugar monitor. I hate the prick of the needle!!!

There are probably other similar devices but I now use a Libre monitoring system. You apply the small measuring device on your arm and you can use your phone to scan readings as many times as you want for 14 days. It will also display what happens between the times that you scan, as it monitors your readings whether you scan the device or not every x minutes. I don’t know what time x is but you get a lot of data points per hour.

Physically it’s about the diameter of an Apple tag and about 3/16ths inch thick. Still have a needle prick the first time when you install a new puck but you don’t have another one for 14 days after that.

There is a Libra App in the App Store.

New watch to come with a camera to take a pic of the color of your pee…

This tech could possibly also be used to determine levels of alcohol in the blood, disabling your Apple Car if too high, and potentially reporting the attempt to law enforcement.
Or, put Apple car to a self driving “taxi mode” :)
,,Sir, you are drunk! Get in the back of the car!” said Siri

I’m not too fond of Lithium batteries under my skin that may explode… 😁
