Is it just me or does it seem like there will be no sensors added this year but next year will have all the sensors? They’ll probably spread that out. Doubt we’ll get this soon, and we’ll probably only get blood glucose next year and maybe blood pressure the year after that if we’re lucky. Right now I’m targeting the Series 8 for my next upgrade from the Series 4.

As for this sensor, this would be really useful for me. I’m really bad at not drinking enough water, and by the time I notice it, I tend to drink way too much. For some reason it’s way worse now than it used to be since I’ve been working from home.

Being diagnosed with clinical dry mouth, and taking pills throughout the day to produce saliva, all while struggling to maintain the proper hydration level and avoid kidney issues... I need this yesterday.

Instant buy/upgrade Apple, please take my money.

Off to drink another 40oz of electrolytes (would be awesome to be able to reduce adding them when I might not need as much in my water.)

(Sjogrens Syndrome is the potential cause of my issues, it is a horrible horrible disease)

Blood pressure will never happen unless Apple Watch has some kind of air compressor to verify systolic diastolic. Dental offices have wrist blood pressure and they are large and inaccurate

There are a lot of cheap smartwatches that already do it inaccurately. The technology is there, someone needs to make it work correctly. Part of that is proper calibration for each person.

Justbuy Samsung Watch 4. It already can measure body composition including water.

The technology behind those abs Samsung are naturally inaccurate. Best two ways to test BP are arterial blood pressure which is invasive and used in hospital settings or blood pressure cuffs on the bicep

You need to calibrate the Samsung watch before it can measure blood pressure and it needs to be recalibrated every month with a blood pressure machine.

Just a suggestion, if you didn't try already. If you are not able to get cover for the more expensive CGMs like the Dexcom, the FreeStyle Libre from Abbott is much less costly and easier to get. It may not be as precise and interactive as the Dexcom G6, but it is miles better than having to prick yourself constantly.
I know, its price is around 120 usd per month in my country, I use it from time to time...thank for the advice anyway!

I just like the technology Apple uses in the watch, but how effective it wil be ? another matter

Interesting, nevertheless.

Can it monitor water intake and tell you how much water you need to drink? They didn’t give much detail about it at their unpacked event.
I have no idea. But if it can measure the water content in your body, as I understand, this should give you information about whether you need to drink more or less. Also, it does not look like it's a constant monitoring. It requires special action (touch the sensor and execute the test).
