Excited to see how far the iPhone Mini's progress towards battery life will be in its future iteration that we can expect in about 1-2 years. Apple seem to have smaller phones rotating in and out of the product line every 2-3 years, which is the fair and expected phone replacement cycle duration for what I'm sure is a majority of the consumers that buy smaller sized phones for various reasons. There's definitely always going to be a market for that size of device, especially when the way we interfere with our devices will soon be changing, à la Vision Pro.

Expect M1 level processing power, an iPhone 13 Pro Max level battery life and an iPhone 15 Pro level camera. Many people's dream device.

RIP to the iPhone mini and shoutout to it's family.
As a 13 Mini owner I'll try and drag it on for as long as I can, I think I could get up to 5 years with it if I replace the battery once it hits 75% capacity.

Would get it in a heartbeat if it'd come in Alpine green with the Green leather case

RIP iPhone mini. 😢 We hardly knew ye.
I will miss the iPhone Mini, I had several over the years. I wish Apple would make a mini again, BUT, with pro features. I would buy that one in a heartbeat. I now have the iPhone 15 pro, I had the 14 Pro Max and it was too BIG. The 15 Pro is more manageable, with my ESR wallet with ”find my” on the back it is my go to device.

I had to go with Spigen case because Apple discontinued my LEATHER case! Bad Apple! I liked the leather cases I had over the years, they aged well and did not smell like a dead cow.

Apple, it is OK, you do not need to get rid of everything because it produces green house gases. Moving to electric cars will put us where we need to be, the leather cases will not make that much of an impact.

Apple also discontinued the higher-spec versions of the 2018 (Intel) Mini in 2023 (I think the base model was cut in 2022). Didn't they also discontinue the remaining Intel iMacs and Mac Pro's in 2023?

I think Apple lost his monumentum at premiere of M2 and simply started shave customers.

In my case, after breakdown of infamous TouchBar shortly after 2Y waranty period of MBP13 Pro, I was forced to switch to Windows machine.
Cost of repair Touchbar is essentially equal to 60-70% of new machine in my country (replacement of full palmrest, without mb and cover), so it was not reasonable to resurrect it. Alternative option like unauthorized replacement wasnt available, due to lack of compatibility of spare parts. (you could fix that way i5 MBP with TouchBar, not M1).

After 7 years sitting here, I've found Ryzen 5 faster than M1 (I'm developer, focused on DB), and cheaper body of ThinkPad looks more robust than aluminium one from Apple.

Fingers crossed my mini holds on for years to come before it gets recycled by Apple.

mate, do you know you can change the iphone battery? It will be fine and you can extend your phones life. I been changing batteries for quite some time. Still rocking 11pro, no need to upgrade.

Yes, battery change can prolong the Mini's survival until it no longer gets software upgrades worst case scenario if Apple haven’t come with a good flip that can be a successor before that. 😂
