This post probably has little use but I always like to voice my opinion regardless....

Everyone I know gets the entry level stock MBP 13" anyways...and the one person I know among my friends I consider "computer educated and savvy" who bought a white MacBook, everyone sort of looked at him as if he was a leopar...besides, the specs were hardly different from the entry level MBP...

White Macbook was my first Mac 3 years ago - still have it, still runs great. Its a nice looking piece of equipment, now will be viewed as a classic. Glad I was around when it was still in its prime and was able to get one. Have since moved on to a newer 13" Macbook pro. I will miss the days of the white macbook, but time marches on and all things change. Will keep this one around as a collectors item. :)

Weird

Kinda Creepy. I was thinking they would do that when I was browsing the online store on Friday. I was in the Apple store today and I didn't see any white macs besides the ones being repaired in the genius bar. About time though. The look was outdated in the early 2000s.

RAM and Battery Life

I have one of these old white macbooks.
Does more ram increase or decrease battery life?

plastic didn't look great for an apple computer if they could get the same colour in metal it would be great

Neither, to any measurable degree, simply by having the RAM installed. If adding RAM reduces page outs, it would reduce power demands, as read/writes to a drive require more power than read/writes in RAM. There are many other factors that impact your battery life to a much greater degree. See the BATTERY LIFE FROM A CHARGE section of the following link for details, including tips on how to maximize your battery life.

This should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions:
