Apple Discontinuing Legacy .Mac Homepage Viewing

Works fine for me on my iPhone 4 running iOS 4.2.1 (8C148).
You must either have
a) upgraded to 4.2 after already having set up the mobileme account in 4.1
b) Set up the account as IMAP
Either way, it's an issue that has been acknowledged by Apple. So it seems it might not have been intentional. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3570
Leaky cloud
Apple should have developed mobile me separate from .mac. Not only was the transition rocky but the service continues to be somewhat of a leaky cloud. I got confused and overwrote some valuable content. Won't make the same mistake of trusting Apple to do what is in my best interest.
