Yes, "being in Israel" certainly makes you an expert on what caused the Beirut explosion. How could anyone have doubted you?
I was in the IDF i know more than you

Hezbollah are to blame, such a shame the innocent people have to be hurt because of them
As we understand, Hizbolla is not a political party that won an election even though Lebanon is a democratic state. More like a militia who run the country with Iranian weaponized backup.

Bottom line, any news source (or president) that claims to know the source of the explosion prior to a thorough investigation is speaking out of hand and should be taken with an incredible grain of salt. Arguing about this on MR is fruitless.

Good on Apple for the humanitarian relief

You claim a lot but until now haven't provided proof for your claims.
Guess what, nobody knows what happened, it's being investigated.

There might have or not have been a weapon storage next to the A.N. storage, let's assume there was.
There are plenty of cases of weapons storage blowing up by accident.
Just an example, plenty of stupid people smoking near to dangerous inflammable/explosive stuff, I have seen such behaviour, especially in countries with lax safety rules.
I've been around, I saw smoking next to a petrol station in many countries, especially developing countries.
Or this, you might have heard about these, ruptured tanks in some African countries, people then gather to steal the leaking petrol, only to die when the tanker blows up.

You come over to me as smug, patronising others.

Oh really and you believe that, you do know the leader of hizballah has admitted to having this to blow up israel and Lebanon army confiscated it, this was a hizballah port

I believe the facts. And the fact is that a Mozambican company had bought the Ammonium Nitrate for mining purposes.

Fábrica de Explosivos Moçambique (FEM), a Mozambican explosives manufacturing company, told CNN that they were the ones who originally ordered the ammonium nitrate that was left at Beirut's port for nearly seven years.

The order of ammonium nitrate was intended for manufacturing explosives for mining companies in Mozambique, the spokesperson said.

"We can confirm that yes, we did order it," a spokesperson for FEM told CNN.

Who needs Apple News when you can just get your bleeding-heart news by reading about Apple's latest marketing donations :p

I'm not surprised since Russians are allied with Iran and Hizbolla which is one of its proxies.

You also need to remember that Israel has had an issue with Lebanon for many years.. As an Orthodox Christian, the Lebanese Christians are a concern to me as we all look out for each other. I am not saying Israel is to blame for this, but I don't think it was Hezbolla - why they would they kill their own ?

I don't think they care about their own population christians or non christians otherwise they wouldn't store dangerous chemicals near a densely populated area with poor safety norms.

I don't think it was set off intentionally, but stockpiling that much is just plain carelessness unless it is there for another purpose.

I wish companies tell you how much will be donated..

I guess Apple is usually generous, but it probably won't be enough... The bigger the issue, the more money i reckon, And Apple has LOTS of it.
