No facts they stored these there to bomb israel
The material was confiscated from a moldovan ship in 2013 and since then has been provisionally "stored" in the port area because people did not know what to do with it.
Source: not some "great generals" but reliable intelligence sources in Europe. And believe me, they have pretty good personnel there.

The material could be used for weapons or as fertilizer.
This problem is also known elsewhere ;-)

At the moment it doesn't appear that there's set proof of anything in particular one way or another, just different theories basically. More or less endlessly going back and forth isn't really going to change that right now. It also doesn't seem to have much to do with what the article is really about, that being about Apple donating to relief efforts.

You do know Hizballah have said they wanna use that bomb to wipe israel off the map, so this is something serious and i care about innocent people dying so we must find out exactly why this happened and blame who was to blame

Learn what Hezbollah do and they control that port they done many videos braging about having weapons to bomb israel and we dont know why it went off but its because of them they have all that dangerous chemicals, if you dont wanna beleive me just do your own research
I don't know why I should 'beleive' in you ;-)

You said

Hezbollah are to blame, such a shame the innocent people have to be hurt because of them

There's no proof they are to blame, there's no proof it blew up because Hezbolla planted a bomb or by any other means.

No facts.

Likely an accident, a fire in the adjacent storage building seems to be the cause.
Ammonium nitrate is normally not that dangerous, it becomes more so if it gets contaminated, absorbs moisture and compacts after long storage.
You might read up on ammonium nitrate before all those false claims.

CNN intelligencia again?
Nope. I prefer to refer on EU sources in this case.
These do not have to obey Dems / Reps in an election campaign.
And they're wide awake because this tragedy is happening on their doorstep...

And again: Thank you, Apple!

Don't worry, my Israeli friend, some of us believe what you say. See, too many Americans think they know things about other countries but they actually know nothing. Especially considering not many Americans have ever set foot outside of the U.S. It's called ignorance for a reason. Be well.

This is a rude but unfortunately factually correct remark.

This was promised e.g. by the French President on the spot. Europe knows what the situation is like there.

Promises can be broken, I hope it will go to the people, the elite is still in control, I doubt it will change.
The head of the state said there will be no international investigation.

Meanwhile, Lebanese President Michel Aoun rejected calls for an international investigation into the explosion, and said local authorities would examine whether it was triggered by "external interference" such as a bomb.

Yes, a lot of things are still unclear. At the moment we do not know how it will develop.
But Aoun is weak, the people don't like him. Only in dictatorships such people stay in power long.

Common sense is that if Hezbollah was behind this (and they have some experience with bombs) they would have had six years time to get these 2,700 tons out of the harbour and split them into much less dangerous bits. There wouldn't have been one explosion making 300,000 people in Beirut homeless but a few smaller ones all over Israel. Followed by revenge attacks, revenge-revenge-attacks, revenge-revenge-revenge attacks and so on. Incompetence on a massive scale, that's the reason.

youtube (12:53), You do not need Hezbollah for such drama
West Fertilizer Company Explosion in West, Texas

it wasn’t Hezbollah

did you know that the nitrate was manufactured in Sakartvelo (Georgia), going to Berat Mozambique in 2013, why it’s in Lebanon because the ships engine failed and they got stuck in Lebanese waters so they took the ship back to the port, the officials responsible for Beirut’s port confiscated the nitrate (which is none of their business) and kept it there for so long

If it was Hezbollah then explain why officials responsible for this and the port of Beirut are under house arrest, not Hezbollah itself

So your theory is that Hezbollah discovered an ammounium nitrate stash that had been in a warehouse for 6 years, then put into motion a plan to make it explode by hiring people to do welding work on an adjoining warehouse in hopes that this would cause a fire, and that the fire would spread to the warehouse storing the ammonium nitrate, thereby triggering an explosion, the goal of which would be to obliterate one of the least populated areas of Beirut.

Yeah makes perfect sense. I actually saw Wiley Coyote do something similar once.
