Yawn! Spoiled much?
They improved the specs, made it lighter, thinner! It's evolutionary, as this model should be.
I think the launch distribution was due as much to supply constraints as marketing. Pre-orders alone would have decimated retail supply which would have been a PR nightmare.
However, even if the launch was 80% dictated by marketing strategy, kudos to Apple. It's smart. After all the hoopla over Xoom, which was was overhyped dung, and had little demand, Apple countered with a great product amid great demand which they can showcase! As the Guiness guys used to say "brilliant!!"
