That's not true. Apple may have driven manufacture costs down, and they are always about giving customers as much value as possible for a fair price.
LOL.
... I assuming you are joking, right?

You know what; fair enough. It wasn’t a Eureka moment. It just gave me the push I needed to get rid of some of the clutter in my house.
Yup, and I do most of my listening on a mediocre $60 Bluetooth speaker. I'd kill for something higher grade like that for my desk, but it's not in the budget.Oh I knew that argument was coming, lol. But I'm sure you get the point weather its Bose, Homepod, Klipsch, etc etc.....they are all better than the $10 tin cans sold at Wal-Mart.
This is really not accurate at all. Have you used one? I bought mine for great sound and HomeKit. Both work perfectly. In terms of commands, Siri is actually considered better than both Amazon and Google. This type of comment isn't really based in fact.
A little? The sub alone is twice the price of the HomePod lolIt’s a great sounding speaker but I have sonos equipment. 5.1 setup with the sub. It’s a little more expensive but much better sounding.
You get BBC News on demand. The other stations would be an odd thing to include since Apple Music has its own music mixes beyond any traditional radio station. This is why I'm sticking with Google. Until the Homepod can play BBC radio stations when asked I'm not interested.
Alexa and Google can do more, that has never been a question. However, the extra superfluous things that Alexa and Google are doing are just gimmicks for the most part. The standard day to day questions that many people are using these for: timers, weather, reminders, calls, texts, etc... Siri is perfectly fine for and in a lot of cases it is better because the microphones are leaps and bounds better. That isn't to say Siri is fantastic, but its far better than it gets credit for.Not based on facts? You kidding right? It is universally agreed upon by the tech industry that Siri is the worst of the lot. Here are some sources.

Others here will list as a ‘flop’ now because Apple dropped the price. Anyone that’s experienced the HomePod, knows exactly what this speaker is capable of producing in terms of quality sound. I don’t regret purchasing mine for the Original $350 price point.
I mean, I wouldn't even buy one if the price was $50 total because I don't want a spyspeaker in my house, but it would probably be fairly priced at that.
Likely because at the time he bought it that was the going rate. Prices drop over time. Do people who bought the iPhone 7 regret buying it because it dropped in price when the 8 came out?You should regret it. Why pay full price when you don’t have to? These get sold for 250-280 for a long time now.

I bet in 2 years these HomePods will be $150 or less. Doesn't mean it was wrong of him to pay full price when it first came out.

Fringe accessory sales? Have you ever heard of AirPods? If you want an idea of how small the Apple buying market really is? One only has to look at the yearly desktop sales and fringe accessory sales such as HomePod. Those figures reveal the tiny bulk of true Apple faithful who purchase the eco system with regularity.
The rest, who number in the tens if not hundreds of millions, are phone folk only.
