It will be interesting to see whether the M2 can support more than 1 external monitor, or if Apple will restrict that to the Pro versions. I also am interested in the M2‘s performance relative to the M1.

I'm curious about this also. I hope I don't have to end up buying a M1 Pro.

I had just added my post there when this came up... saying the world is in shock at the moment... well maybe the shock will be lower on March 8th, but Kyiv may still be under siege with horrible casualties (let's hope not!)... I think Apple needs to really do this one right and light to avoid damage to the brand (I know they have the talent... but I've also known them to make some tone deaf bozo moves).

That's the green (with envy) shade tossed at Apple competitors. They FEEL that color... no need to see it. ?

That’s likely, but it will be good to confirm (or see if Apple made any tweaks).

Peek = a quick and/or brief look

Performance = effectiveness / speed of a system

So a quick look at speed stuffy to come in the future? Sounds like announcements for future stuff we won't even be able to pre-order yet.

Peek is to look at something cautiously, not Peak as is top performance, thinking possible AR/VR headset

I’m waiting to see what the M2 MacBook Air looks like. I did like the 12” MB design the best (except for the keyboard). It’s odd that they didn’t use the M1 to relaunch an ultraportable. The M1 seemed like the chip that the 12“ MacBook was designed for.

This name is huge! I think the full Mx Mac Pro will be released March 8! So exciting!!!! I also think it will be based on the M2 chip, not the M1.

'Peek' as in... a sneak preview of something coming soon.
'Peak' as in... better than anything else.
'Performance' as in... CPU / GPU / Memory.

I'm starting to believe we'll see something more than just M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max.
Even the M2, because while it would qualify as 'Peek', it wouldn't qualify as 'Peak', because the M1 Pro and M1 Max are faster.
Maybe I'm just taking it too seriously ?

Yes. Tim Cook has talked about AR for such a long time. I wouldn’t be surprised to get a preview of future devices, their past practices notwithstanding.
