This thing will be incredibly expensive. Remember, it has a titanium case, cellular, and it's a brand-new product.

The regular Titanium Apple Watch was $849. The Ultra is going to be well over $1000.

Ultra is so tough. You can use it to break your car windows to save your pets lol

Yeah like it doesn't make too much sense to me, it could be used for men too to see if they have a fever.

Just aside from that, from a marketing perspective it isn't smart.
OMFG, do you really think anyone needs to be told that it could be used to check for fever? The ovulation information is being highlighted because 1) it significantly impacts a huge portion of the population, who may previously have had no interest whatsoever in a smart watch, and 2) it requires some AI/ML for inference/prediction, beyond the use of the new temperature sensor. Any garden variety idiot can understand that it could be used for detecting fever—they don't need to market that.

EDIT: 3) it's probably not obvious to many that you can get this kind of information about ovulation from a temperature sensor and some AI. So again, a very good reason to highlight it as a feature.

For the niche wearer... looks great (although I'm not aware of what's already on the market).

For the everyday wearer who also exercises, hikes, etc... guess it depends on how BIG it actually is.

Design is nice.

In all fairness to the Ultra, a common complaint by serious and extreme athletes is that the AW isn’t good enough. Now they have what they need.

So does the Series 8 tells the normal body temperature also or just tells when a person would ovulate?

What an ugly watch. Remember when we all complained about the red ring? Now it's an orange button AND ring.

Not a diver, but if was I'd probably use much more professional equipment than an Apple watch. Diving is quite dangerous.
