I agree with all of that, I'm just talking about marketing lol.
Sure, but that's just the point; it's good marketing because they're potentially reaching a huge number of totally new customers—ones who previously would never have considered an Apple Watch. That's exactly what good marketing should be able to do.

Also, sorry if I jumped on your comment a bit, but I find it both amazing and infuriatingly idiotic that people here are actually complaining about a feature being focused on women's health. It's just pathetic, imho...

Apple is really serving this niche well but… why?

I just don’t understand why they want to target this small segment of the market so badly?

Seems out of step with their heritage and like something that will lose them a ton of money in the long run…
Really? I seem to recall the reeeeeaaaally old days when Apple already did partnerships with Nike, such as that weird-ass shoe with a cut-out for a pill-shaped Nike+ movement tracker that would connect to a 32-pin connector receiver, so you could sync with and track your activity on… the first-gen iPod nano, back in 2006.

Let that sink in. This was before the iPhone was even a thing, let alone the Apple Watch. A product which, I shouldn't have to remind you, had an entire range called Sport from its inception. Fitness-oriented features and products have been a staple in Apple's line-up for such a long time that you have to accept them as part of their corporate DNA at this point.

Wow really! £799 same as the regular stainless steel model . Go Ultra; ain’t no mountain high enough 🙂, love it . Am so excited 😁for the athletes, hikers, mountaineers etc that would find it very useful.
