They need to face an auditorium full of blank expressions again so they can see how truly unremarkable these updates have become.

There was no reason to go eSIM only

We have eSIM now....in combo with a normal SIM tray, the phone is way more flexible

The security angle is nonsense -- you could be using eSIM and eSIM only, right now, no SIM tray removal needed.

iPhones shipped last year with eSIM activated. So like people can still keep their main plan on eSIM but having the physical slot open for travel/emergencies would be nice

If you restore your iPhone, the eSIM profile has to be reconfigured. It’s a pain. Some did complain about it draining battery too.
