Part of our environmental impact considerations you can trade in your lightning cables for Type-C at any Apple Store for free.

Right Apple? It's not about the money its for the environment.

"We suggest you donate your old Lightning cables to another family that didn't need to update their 11-month old iPhone."

This event feels like they didn’t have much to announce and really as stretching it out. Spending all this time basically re-announcing the 14 Pro from last year.

They could literally remix the last four iPhone events and it won't be any different.

f1.6? iPhone 14 Pro is f1.78
A lower f-stop number means a bigger aperture, so it captures more light - it's better. This is why the newer iPhones do really well in low light situations. You would use a higher f-stop for bright light like sunny outdoor shots.

Traditional telephoto lenses, by their nature, capture less light, which is why one would usually need a very big / long telephoto lens to get detailed distance photos, as in wildlife and sports photography.

Portrait lenses aka prime lenses are shorter in length and capture more light. So having lower f-stop limits on both is great.
