Do they really expect us to believe that these professionals ditched their tens of thousands of pounds worth of camera kit for an iPhone?
No, but you act like iPhone Pro isn't the best smartphone for video, by a lot. Everyone with a little knowledge in video knows it. So expensive equipment is for those who can afford it

All these camera features that 90% of the buyers never use. How about making a phone with a lot less feature rich camera and make it considerably cheaper for people? Then make a camera plus version with all those features. Why should 90% of the people pay for something they are never going to use?

Did they mention the ability to remove things from a photo? Or is that not happening?
They literally mentioned it with a 2 second blub about the feature called "clean up". Surprised they didn't spend more time on it (vs. say Samsung/Google Pixel phone commercials)

Not going to lie, while I appreciate pushing the camera technology . . having such a large focus on "pro" level videography on the iPhone Pro lineup while just trickling in the software improvements elsewhere in iOS just feels like a slap in the face. It all just feels like a crowdfunding campaign to get iPhone Pro lineup consumers to pay for the investment in the camera department without Apple truly making a separate camera product lineup that could really be adopted by the professional movie/video making community. The software for videography is impressive for what it is but really isn't something that is necessary for the majority of iPhone Pro users yet we're all paying for the development in that space.
