Honestly was expecting a slight mechanical zoom or some crazy prism internal motorized zoom with a plateau and (camera bump sat atop it) depth.

that thing can come to the pro...but mechanical zoom are kind of dead...sony and others tried but now fewer and fewer...solid state is the future for tech
I watch a specific Poker type channel and that front frame feature would greatly benefit them. Instead of just watching the cards, I can see the cards and the reactions as well.
Yes, it's arrogance. Look at how they are all prerecorded, like they're in clean rooms. Insulated from the dirty rest of the world, the dirty crowd, etc.
You could say Liquid Glass is part of this ethos too, everything is perfectly clean and transparent, and that they can make the UI transparent is an indication that they don't need anything functional, it's an art piece for them, not a tool for dirty consumers like us. We are just supposed to look at it in awe.
