Some people will always be mad. Being outages on the internet is a hobby, it gives people something to do.

The reality is, if they really were that disappointed with Apple’s products, they wouldn’t be spending time on an Apple-focused forum.

They’d move on and do something more enjoyable to them.

Fan-base complain bitterly and toxically about what they are fans of because they enjoying it.

They enjoy having something to complain about. It gives them their daily jollies.

Complaining is very easy, because you don’t have to make anything better.

There’s nothing more to it than that.
Some people do but by any definition this was not major innovation. It was a minor rehash with a few small changes. I suspect their trade in values will go down which will enable them to retain the prices. Their competitors are out innovating them or are beating them massively on price. Nothing they produced this time was bad but their was no real usp/compelling element. There was a massive amount of bullshido (the ancient creed of the flim flam man).

More AI features to start with. Also more health features across the ecosystem.
AI? I have to say of you want better AI features, look at third party options. There’s more than enough.

Personally I think it was a mistake for Apple to get bogged down in promising AI features, it wasn’t the direction they were going in, they did it because of ahareholder pressure, and it didn’t work out.

If AI is your thing, don’t wait for Apple to do it, there’s lots of other options.

As for health, what new features it use-cases did you expect or hope for?

As yet, Apple isn’t a “health technology” company, most health features they offer are either motivational or emergency - they really aren’t an alternative to medical equipment ( bar perhaps APP as hearing aids).

They are becoming very large. I had a look at the Pro Max the other day. I don't think that even fits in my trouser pockets as is, let alone when in a cover.

Baggy pants are coming back in fashion. Did you not see multiple Apple cougar VPs with their cartoonishly large pants?

am I the only one who noticed Tim's lower front teeth look terrible ?

I noticed. If he can't fix that with his amount of money, yikes! Perhaps this is the source of their new crystal technology.

This event was boring as all hell. My first thought was they are getting worse every year. Then again they hit bottom with that « Mother Nature » skit. Tim looked pale and tired, lacking energy. Maybe he’s running out the clock and is winding down. Bland and uninspirational - even for Cook.

I’ll upgrade this time. Mostly for the video upgrades and the spec bumps from the 14PM I have. Ho humm. I’ll also be honest and say I kind of like the idea Apple doesn’t has AI everywhere. And the privacy.

I also have a Pixel. With Graphene OS now a red flag for criminal behaviour it’s back to Android. So I rock both but use the iPhone as my daily.

Funny thing is I kind of get why Apple did the cameras as they did. 3X is for portraits so they kind of went back a bit while giving you a better sensor with a crop to 12mp for 8X. And Pro Res raw to compliment my Braw instead of Pro Res LT and such I also use. I could be wrong in some specs so forgive me if they are incorrect.

I have apps in the Apple app store and Google play store so I rock both OS systems. Unlike the 14 release, I’ll wait a few weeks for the software bugs to be worked out.

Surprisingly I am very satisfied of this Keynote.
Apple delivered.
Beautiful 17 Pro in orange with upgraded front and telephoto cameras, 4x and 8x optical zoom, better CPU/GPU, more RAM; better modem and better wifi/BT chip.
New design. Improved thermal performances, and screen brightness.

Airpods Pro 3 with better sound; fits better, better ANC which is already impressive on APP2.

Live translation available at launch.

Brand new design for iOS

Congratulations, finally. Last couple years were so disappointing. I was in awe back again and man it feels good

Remember when the iPhone 15 Pro's came out two years ago and majority of the people on this site were raging about how hot the phones got or how easily they got damaged with titanium? Apple is going back to what worked before and people are still mad SMH.
I'm not mad, and my Mac mini is made out of aluminum. I don't begrudge the material, I do call them on their nonsense of telling us titanium is the future, but now we're back to I've era aluminum. Complete with knockoff Johnny I've narration. Which one is it? And if it's not titanium then they need to explain why.

Your explanation doesn't make sense. It's still gonna dissipate heat. Whether it's titanium or aluminum

Was that presentation thing today for real? I'm thinking it had to be a joke. And Tim Cook looked really old. I'm five years older than he is and he looks like my father. I guess money really cannot buy everything--although I'd like to try.
It’s not like Tim has a stressful job. Everyone does the work for him and has been for the better part of a decade and a half.

Haha, did you notice every single Product person narrating had a thick English accent just like Ive? Even the Indian one. Does the Product group do casting calls?

Aluminum's thermal conductivity is about 10 times higher than titanium's!

Air doesn't support 5G mmWave, kind of a dealbreaker on my end.
Yeah that's wild. When Verizon introduced their 5GUW you were forced into a newer more expensive plan that supported it which was to push people off the original unlimited plan they introduced around 2016. Also any data consumed under 5GUW didn't count towards the invisible threshold before you were throttled (unless that's changed now)

Biggest annoyance yet, no Black or Space Grey, etc. for the Pro Max. Apple's own blue cases don't match Deep Blue. And the Deep Blue phone will look stupid in black cases. This is color violence.

I hope Timothy says ONE LAST THING and releases a new MINI!

Great that you had hope, I surely didn't, but my mini is fine and will last me some more good time.
No flips yet from Apple. See how long that will take?

is it me or is Tim Cook (the grey haired thin CEO  person) working out lately?
Wow he looks fit, probably doing cardio bench pressing, pilates and squats galore!
you go Tim!

I didn't seem very fit to me, rather lost muscles, which is not good. He didn't look healthy.

It's because of the time Tim had to spend at the White House

Poor guy, but we all make our choics.

It was late here, I just waited for it to end to go to sleep.
But it was probably one of the best 'sleeping-pil' of the Apple Keynotes I've watched.

Didn't felt the fraction of a shopping-feel towards anything.
An iPhone Air mini would've been sweet though.
But my mini is young and happy, so I guess it was comforting for my dear mini.

So why this the new iPhone not iPhone 26? iPhone 17 with iOS 26? Does that make any sense?
Before this change, Apple's different operating systems had different version numbers because they were introduced at different times. For example, you might have had iOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 12, and visionOS 2 all released in the same year. This was confusing for customers and developers. By switching to a year-based system, every major operating system released in the fall of 2025 will be branded with "26" to represent the model year of 2026. This includes iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and so on.
