I feel like I know just as much about the performance of the new Macs now as I did before the event started.
That makes zero sense. They use the same design of course because they gonna discontinue the model anyway. Even a big question mark if the new 16pro silicon will have a new design at all or just transforming with the new chips. If you are lucky the 16 will come as the new flagship with a new design after the 13'' are esablished.
I dont really like Big Sur so far... am I alone?

Not a very good keynote, outside of a few tech specs that were actually mentioned. Now we have to hunt down the actual specs.
Theres still a pandemic going on. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Yup, my birthday is the 13th. In store pick up at 8. Last year they let me be the first customer in the door.Your b-day the 13th? Mine is and my Pro Max is being delivered then. What a great gift (to myself).
They haven't put out a magic keyboard with it, and it doesn't appear on the air.
You must be very young then. This was a riff off of the "iconic" (and very effective) Mac Vs. PC commercials. For a nerd like you they may not be effective, but to the average idiot they are.
They figure they can squeeze a few more generations out on these existing models. Honestly, I am not sure their design department has the same vision and creativity they once did. Look at some of their recent products, sure people will buy them...but when is the last time you saw a new apple product and it knocked your socks off? I will admit, the last product that WOW'd me is the AirPods Pro and that's just because they fixed a lot of my gripes with the original AirPods.
With today's keynote showing the amazing innovations they are doing I would say they certainly are doing far more and far better than Dell, HP, Lenovo (oh yeah Lenovo does nothing) and Razer.
This. Adding that at the end I think was a thoughtful touch and a callback to Apple's past. Will be interested in seeing if this was a one-time occurrence or a new series of ads.
I think that the 16" MBP will still have an Intel chip and will be announced separately.
The most exciting things were the chime and the PC guy.
Hmmm now that I saw base Mini is 4GB, might depend on what upgrades cost. What is a good amount on a Mac for just moderate stuff maybe some 3d games if they even have them. And also have to check base SSD and costs of upgrades there
