The prediction was related to MacBook Pro. Hardly ayone uses HDMI out on a desktop.

I know it was predicted for the Pro. But I suspect all future Mx models will take their cues from this stripped-down design. Seeing a USB-A port on a Pro model for example will seem odd if it's not on a consumer model.
