More ability to draw on the overpriced, overpowered, Tablets 4 Tots iPad series, I see.

How nice.

There could be a Mac like a Wacom Cintiq or Microsoft Surface Studio. A standard clamshell MacBook or iMac, I agree - wouldn't work well with pen.
As the trackpads on MacBooks have gotten so much larger over time, I've often considered why the trackpad couldn't be a drawing surface for the pencil. They could even throw a screen in there and raise the price $1000. Incidentally, the failed Touch Bar idea would have been far better executed by making all or some of the trackpad a touch screen.

Looking forward to seeing the new Pencil along with the new iPad Pros.

My favorite is the top right one.

Hopefully they fix the Apple Pencil this generation. Seems like they made some reaaally weird choices with v2

Gonna keep an eye out for a refurb M1 12.9” iPad Pro.

My 2018 11” battery life is starting to be subpar so looking to upgrade.

But no way I’m buying the latest gen given the rumoured prices. And barely use the pencil anyway.

Would just be a waste of money

The more I'm considering this, the more excited I'm getting at the possibilities of what the new pencil could bring. Guess I'll be patiently waiting to see if they will take my money again!

Figure they're moving the camera from portrait to landscape. Then they have to move the pencil to the short side... They'll want one pencil for the pros - so that means they need to shorten the pencil a bit to make it fit on the smaller pro.

Add a feature to make it better and there you go.

Why would the Pencil need to move to the short side...?

It seems one of the reasons for an Apple Pencil 3 is to make the magnets/charging work with a wider layout, one that has the camera and whatnot in the middle of said magnets/charging hardware...?

Nominal usage mode of the tablets would still be in landscape mode, which is why the cameras are being moved in the first place, Pencil up top on the long side keeps it up and out of the way when stowed, short side would be on the side in landscape mode, likely leading to a higher chance of the Pencil being knocked off of the tablet...?
