Twitter said amnesty is not being granted to accounts that have broken the law or participated in egregious spam. Musk has also said it cannot turn into a free-for-all hellscape. Code exams indicates Twitter has restarted end-to-end DM encryption a project that was previously abandoned. Those seem like positive reasonable changes.
Twitter was failing prior to Musk and may continue to fail. I don’t really care either way. But there isn’t a better alternative to Twitter as a public square.
As usual the Chicken Little hysterical extremists are crying at both ends. I hope they continue crying because usually when both parties feel they are being screwed in reality they are being treated fairly.
