While they're fixing this, can they also get rid of the Report Junk prompt every time you delete a text message?
I've only had the report junk prompt when I delete iMessages interestingly enough. I never see the stupid thing when I get spam SMS texts. The time I'd actually use the feature, it's AWOL.

Apple devs and engineers must be running around like lost cockroaches, not knowing which path to take.

Actually I like this notification. It allows me not accidentally paste any thing on websites.
I hope Apple will let me keep this option . Or Give choice to users to decide prompt or no prompt.

Not entirely dissimilar to Siri longcuts on Apple Watch permanently asking for permission to run the associated app. They never fixed that and I doubt they’ll ever fix this. More likely it’ll just be quietly accepted in the ever burgeoning legacy of ‘foibles’ that persist across multiple hardware and software cycles.

OMG!!! A software bug was revealed during a new OS update. Planet Earth just responded with an additional 20 degree tilt due to forum outrage. Tsunamis expected in the next hour - run for the hills. Stat!
How many bugs is it gonna take before you stop defending Apple?

1. Activation issues requiring a day one update and some users still seeing activation issues after said update.
2. Restoring from phone backup causing phone lockup errors that require hard reboot.
3. Cameras rattling inside the phone (Hardware but including it anyways).
4. Clipboard harassing users for every paste operation.

I'm not sure if it's because we have more eyeballs on products and more free-flowing information exchanges, but the iOS 16 and the iPhone 14 launch is looking ugly.

to be honest my 14PM and iOS 16.0 has been pretty good overall, set up as new- I think I'm just lucky. Also don't use my camera with social media apps so can't test that piece thats coming out.

Wouldn't doubt others shifty experience though even on same device, but especially older devices as well.

That said - I do have this c+p bug. I can't decide if I find it annoying or nice. If it could be decided per app with an on and off switch I would be less up in the air about it. Apple just bugged their way into creating a feature some people will now want moving forward lol

I saw it once while pasting a track to facebook from Apple Music. It was the first time on the new phone so I just figured it was one of those "this is a new device" type permissions. I wouldn't had to do that if they would let me share music to my FB feed instead of the stupid story section no one looks at😜

I used to get this a lot on the beta software but now that I think of it, I have not seen it on the final release. I just tried it with copy pasting from a WhatsApp message to Slack and I did not get the pop up

How could Apple not be aware of this issue during testing?
It seems like a bug that was introduced very late because I don’t remember seeing it throughout the beta period.
It must have been in the last beta or RC.

I suppose that coding in your underwear at home can lead to unexpected behavior.

I think innovation can probably be stifled from not having the in-person rapport and lots of magical brainstorming that can occur with creative minds in the same room, but if you just update spreadsheets or have a mechanical type job that isn't disruptive, I don't think matters at all whether you're in your trousers and from your apartment couch, tbh. If anything, more gets done because they don't care as much about formalities - things become much more results oriented exclusively. Particularly software QA in this case. Commits can be reviewed, its just a matter of are they? Also, does anyone test what they build on an actual device? Cause this isn't a subtle observation of a bug... takes about 5 minutes of hands on time to see it, not really an edge case. Or are middle managers asleep at the wheel and radiating that 'positive energy' feedback, kindergarten gold star sticker type stuff, without any concern whatsoever for results? Or are they just corrupt beyond repair (wedged into a position they aren't competent at and can't be shaken off the tree because they climbed the company politics ladder) and don't care at all about the fruit of their labor? I point more towards some latter scenario, here.

If you are concerned Apple isn't 'innovating' enough, that could be a whole other debate where remote could come into play ostensibly.

As with everything - ymmv

This again illustrates that no company or person is perfect and eventually Apple will screw up something with their passwords and encryption and if they aren't careful it will compromise all of iCloud that isn't encrypted with some type of public key encryption where Apple does not hold the keys.

They need to go back to this before there is a huge negative event that compromises everyone on an Apple device's privacy:
