Still not sure what that has to do with music. Of course Al Gore on Apple's board never made sense to me either.

Al Gore won a Grammy, so he certainly belongs there.

The music industry (at least the highly commercial part represented by the Grammy awards) is a major industry in the state Nancy Pelosi represents. It's like Mitch McConnell going to a coal industry event.

I guess Al's there, because he founded the internet or was it email - hmmmm - why was Al at the Grammy's?

Move from AAC to Meridian MQA for Beats streaming?

Tidal is streaming CD quality with MQA coming soon to stream hi res. Since Apple a while back asked for 24bit/96khz files to master iTunes AAC tracks, I'm hoping they also make a move to offer higher fidelity (and since MQA can provide hi def sound in a CD sized package, it wouldn't be a bad standard to pick if they don't have their own ready). For a lot of pop songs and inexpensive headphones and systems, it won't make that much of a noticeable difference, but for some well-recorded tracks on decent equipment, that could be a very nice change.

1. Al Gore sponsored the legislation that founded the Internet. E-mail existed prior to that.
2. Al Gore won a Grammy. I'm guessing this qualifies him, along with being a celebrity himself.

Respect for Tim Cook down 10% from me after seeing that he pals around with female Hitler....er...um... Pelosi.

Hitler? So, do you believe Pelosi committed genocide on a grand scale? Or is it that you believe genocide was not a significant attribute of being "Hitler"?

I'm curious as to which, because to me "Hitler" is nearly synonymous with "genocide." Perhaps you have another take on this Hitler guy.

Although I disagree with him politically, scientifically, and as a person, having a former Vice President of the USA on the board carries some weight.

Sure but I doubt Dick Cheney will be on Apple's board anytime soon. ;)

Big Al

Im curious what Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi have to do with music?

Al invented the Internet, so by extension, digital music services like Beats, etc. Pelosi is there to remind everyone that even the dead like music too.

On a different note, what wine label is that, and what does it sell for?

I was slow :)
It is a Canyon Road Cabernet Sauvignon and definitely not what as fancy as one might would assume

US only so it fails right there. also this whole "exclusive on... store xy" BS those labels and partners are trying to pull is only leading people into illegal downloading again. idiots

I think he said that he was on the committee that led to the group that authorized creation of the Internet.

What he literally said was "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

Which was literally true. Prior to Gore's legislation, internetworking technology was only used in a full closed networks, such as Arpanet; the specific legislation he "wrote" (I put that in quotes as obviously his staff did the actual writing) created a public, open network.

And Gore was "The Man" who drove the legislation that made this happen. I used to work for a company called BBN (aka/ Bolt Beranek and Newman) which was a primal player in internetworking (you can Wiki "BBN Technologies"). The importance of what Gore did was well known there.
