I see and hear your point, but iPads are inherently different devices that are used much differently- you’re not showing the same Excel sheet on it all dayOLED has been out for years now i think they have the burn in figured out.
My Asus Laptop has OLED i like it a lot. Now onto MBP with OLED for next purchase.
Shut the thing down once in a while take a break turn screens off problem solved.
Not a 24/7 operator here!...![]()
The regular 17’s got promotion this year so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s going to expand to everything in the line up. iPad mini with oled and promotion? YESThat's cool and all, but meaningless without ProMotion.
I feel the same. I have a 14” m3 pro MBP. And im on my 2nd OLED tv. I love OLED but, Apple’s mini led is fantastic. The high dimming zone count and minimal blooming makes for very close contrast to OLED without the burn in risk. This is why i said earlier in this thread that Id take the hand me down proven display of the current pros in the Air if Apple wants to stick the more expensive tandem oleds into the pros.I really prefer tried and true tech. I love my 14" M1 Pro MBP. I honestly cannot imagine a better display than it has. And I have had burn-in with OLED phones before. I'd just go with what works well already.
