Would "release" have fit your sensibilities better? Note that it didn't say "Launch 20+ Brand New Product Lines This Year". For the people at Apple doing the work, it is a product launch, they're not just changing the version number on the assembly line.

I work in industry and I know what launching a product means, thanks ☺️.
The Vision Pro was a launch. The new Mac Mini was a launch. Simply because these are products we have not seen before, or they were significantly different.
Going from iPhone 15 to iPhone 16 was not a launch IMO.
But "launch" sounds definitely better from a marketing (and sponsoring) standpoint.

I think the iPad Pro should release with the M5 before an iPad Air with M4.

That's not a statement on Apple.

You could have gone out on a limb and predicted.... an Apple Pencil Ultra.

Many products will be released this year. Expecting to see the M4 MacBook Air very soon. Wonder when Apple will introduce M5 chip. Maybe it could be at WWDC or at a Mac exclusive event sometime in October.
