Wrong. The SE is 35% lighter compared to the X. You can definitely tell the difference, especially when you're active and take it running, biking, hiking, climbing, etc. It's a lot more pocketable and `secure` 1-handed use is possible.

Either way, I can accept that some people want big phones. I don't get why many people don't understand the desire for smaller phones though. Apple is big enough to service both markets, and should be able to innovate to bring the newest tech in a smaller form factor. +1 on buying the SE for size and not for price.

If they can't get the TouchID under the screen working then they should just put it on the back like android phones do. How cool would it be to have an option to use either, or for added security, both.
Throwing out 35% lighter at me. lol. It's a PHONE! 35% of almost nothing is still almost nothing. Unless you weigh 25 lbs, it doesn't even matter.

I don’t understand another SE or the desire? Maybe just for size? Cause I should would rather buy a discounted iPhone X or 8 plus next year if I wanted to save some money.
of course its size. We don't enjoy having less features, we just put up with it for the smaller size.

An iPhone 8 isn’t much bigger, and it today’s market considered an ideal size. Probably better specs too.

Not saying one size fits all but you do understand an extremely small size of people want something smaller.
an iphone x is ALOT bigger. After setting up new iphones for our users, I can't wait to get my SE back in my hand.

Trying to shift the goalposts.

Your original post was a lie, so I’m not going to waste my time chasing down your other “theories”.
In your two seconds wasted reading about a lacking Airpower mat, I bought one from Ikea’s

I really can’t thikk of one person in my day to day life that is begging for a smaller phone than an iPhone 8 or even an X. Not one. Only on MR lol

I think most people don't beg for a phone. I don't think I've had a person to person discussion about my cell phone desires since high school. Apple acknowledges a small market of users that want a small phone and us small phone users would like an update, that's all.

Lots of baby hands on this forum, apparently. lol.

Not at all... for people who prefer one-hand use, an X is a compromise for anyone who doesn't have the hand size of an NBA center.

By compromise, I mean being able to reach the full screen with your thumb without shuffling the phone around or contorting your hand in an unnatural way. I get that many are okay doing that, using reachability, etc, to enjoy a larger screen and get the cool stuff on the latest phones. But there are those don't and would rather have the best physical UX as evidenced by this thread.

I’m a female with small hands but have no problems using the plus even with one hand sometimes.

Oh no? I’ve literally read posts here saying people would pay iPhone X prices or more for an updated iPhone SE lol...crazy talk
People on here are not representative of people in the real world. Especially in the adult/business world. People don't really discuss phones. They turn into a tool and the toy-ish features don't really matter as much.

Maybe not begging, but would go for it if the option was there.

Case in point: my gf upgraded from the iPhone 6 to the SE. She had issues using the bigger phone - things like causing cramps in her hand. She is quite content with the SE. But that is not the point of this story. She recently was doing one of her volunteering things and was showing photos to other volunteers on her phone, so she handed the phone over. The response she got was to the tune of 'this phone feels so nice in my hand and is so light, what is it?' I laughed when she told me this - it was as if people had completely forgotten how natural it was to hold hand-sized devices in the hand.

These responses are just silly. If you have normal hands the + model is impossible to use comfortably and securely 1-handed.

Apparently it's difficult for you to understand that a CEO can't lie about facts during an earnings call.

Apparently it's also difficult to understand the $800 ASP for the iPhone last quarter, which can only be achieved by selling a large quantity of the iPhone X. Math doesn't lie. Unlike so many forum posters.

Actually a CEO can, and sometimes they certainly do, lie during earnings calls. It is illegal, but that doesn’t mean they don’t do it.

Right.. And if it doesn't turn out well, they get sued to death.
That usually happens when the company is going into the dumpster already, not to companies like Apple.
Apple is pretty much always spot on or even conservative in their guidance.
So, who are those people from companies of the size of Apple lying.
You should have many examples since it "sometimes" happens.

If its material to negatively affect the stock price, say getting a lot less sales than expected,
they have to say it.
If it may have a positive or neutral impact, they do have a bit more leeway as long as they're not doing insider trading on that info.
That's particularly the case if saying anything would tip off the competition, say changing the release date of the Iphone from June to Fall like they did a few years back.

I honestly have a hard time believing that. I'm a 6'4" male with large hands and I would definitely have significant trouble using a Plus with one hand (which is absolutely how I want to use a phone). I have a normal iPhone 6 and even then I sometimes have trouble reaching stuff if my hand isn't positioned correctly.

There aren't any companies the size of Apple other than Apple, so no I can't provide an example of that. But there are numerous examples of very large companies (billions to tens of billions in value) where this has occurred. You can look them up if you want. Some would say Tesla is guilty of this.

EDIT: By the way, we of course would only know about it after a company is caught. So however many examples there are, the number of actual times it has occurred is higher.

Size. Why is that so hard to understand? I live in the US and I don't know a single person who bought an SE because of price. Post millennials who can afford a TV to watch Netflix (not that we have time to watch it anyway because we are busy working, kid's practices, sleeping, etc.), a Macbook Pro for proper computer work, and need a phone to make calls and text. That, and as a functioning adult, the idea of walking around with what is basically an iPad mini attached to the side of my head is utterly ridiculous, but to each their own...
Not everyone has baby hands.
