So, if the rumours about dual core PMs and updated PBs are correct, but just delayed, when is the next right chance for Apple to annouce one or either of them???

Or, were the rumours just wrong?

(Can't the curtains simply be hinding scaffolding/supports?)

Face it guys. The likelyhood of new stuff is fading fast. It’s unlikely Apple will call a random press conference, it’s unlikely they’d have all the models up if they were about to replace one of them.

Maybe next tuesday or the event in London in October. It is possible though that they could announce them during the week, but I highly doubt that. I'm still having my fingers crossed for a PB update.

Other sites have speculated that an overdue update to Apple's PowerBook line might arrive at Apple Expo, but Think Secret has been unable to corroborate such reports.

Well i don't know if you's noticed but if you look at: - http://static.flickr.com/31/44778279_ecb9c93579.jpg, their are weights hanging off that black cloth (Or is it something else? ?), so maybe, just maybe its going be released then and their with a BIG/SPECIAL presentation out the front of it... whatever it is...
(And yes i think this is my first post.. ..i'm getting so pissed at this thing - would they just hurry it up already ! ! !)

I'm planning to buy a 'book soon. It will be either the 12" iBook or the 12" Powerbook (maybe the 15"er, if I go insane for a moment...)
At present the Powerbook is not worth the price premium, I think. That's why I'm hoping for either an upgrade or a price cut on the PBs. (or both )
If there's nothing new this week, I'll just get an iBook as long as the "Student Union"-offer is valid.
