Well not exactly, I would equate charging £100 for an update (albeit a very major one) a rip off when there is no upgrade discount even for people who bought 10.1 at full price just a couple of months ago.
As for .mac, I have subscribed and I actually think its good value. But, I have heard of lots of people who just want the email and for them its a rip off. Its a fact that I have never heard so much bad talk about Apple as I have heard for these two recent things.

Apologies for bringing this up again, I'll try to let it rest now. I think Apple have probably realised that they upset people, and I bet that for 10.3 (or whatever it is) there *will* be an upgrade discount.
