They have a monopoly on their product. That is legal last I looked. Save the tired memes for another day.
You said Apple didn't have a monopoly power originally. Get your facts straight.

EU consists of 27 countries. How many countries does this make?
Get your terminology straight. Every company has a monopoly for their own products. Apple has not been found to have an illegal monopoly. You said Apple didn't have a monopoly power originally. Get your facts straight.
I didn't say it's bad. Been in the states, lovely people for the most part. And the forum is actually quite funny.
Plus I don't blame Americans at all. Its the corporations and politicians paid by those corporations that brainwashed most of your people thinking that its ok to give birth and go straight to work the next week, that workers rights or minimum wages kill jobs, or that consumer rights make products more expensive. I mean just look at some of the regular posts here of ordinary people defending Apple and big corporations at all cost. Why is it ok for companies to ship inferior products or offer bad services? Why is it ok for billionaires to buy another private jet yet their workers have to live form paycheck to paycheck?
I know we got our own problems here in Europe but at least I can rant about our problems at my local pub with real unflavored beer and with snacks that are not colored with poison while enjoying my weekend after 39 hours of work with enough money to go on a 6 week paid vacation without having to gofund me first because I fell of my bike and broke a bone. Cheers!
I agree. I’m amused when people criticize Apple or other big corporations at any and all costs even when companies are right. Even when they are right or one has an option not to use their products and services. And more of what you post above is incorrect but I’m not going to address because it’s neither here nor there.I didn't say it's bad. Been in the states, lovely people for the most part. And the forum is actually quite funny.

It happens. Why doesn’t the consumer exercise their rights and show these companies that sell inferior products and offer bad services the proverbial “middle finger”?Why is it ok for companies to ship inferior products or offer bad services?
Because the US isn’t a socialist state. People are given the ability to flourish or flounder. That is why it is okay. Why is it ok for billionaires to buy another private jet yet their workers have to live form paycheck to paycheck?
Anyone who has been listening, alcohol is linked to cancer. So I would cut down on the ranting.I know we got our own problems here in Europe but at least I can rant about our problems at my local pub with real unflavored beer and with snacks that are not colored with poison
35 hour work week with 7 weeks of vacation and lower taxes to boot. Anyway horses for courses, I hope some perspective was provided.while enjoying my weekend after 39 hours of work with enough money to go on a 6 week paid vacation without having to gofund me first because I fell of my bike and broke a bone. Cheers!
You mean the software quality can get even worse? I hope you're not right, because then I would really start to worry about Apple's future. That’s exactly what is being said. These regs are bad for all involved. Glad you agree. A race to the bottom for software quality as well.
Absolutely. While opinions of the quality of Apple software are all over the map, it’s a good possibility of my prognostications. You mean the software quality can get even worse?
It’s only apples future in the eu. Apple will be fine everywhere else.I hope you're not right, because then I would really start to worry about Apple's future.
$$$Apple has a monopoly where is no alternative app stores in the US. There is alternative app stores in the EU, Japan and Brazil. Why not allow alternate app stores everywhere?
In fact America IS a socialist state as an American friend used to say, but whereas social benefits in the rest of the world are for all and especially for those in need in the US socialism is for the rich only. They get their tax breaks, they get stadiums paid for by the state, they get bailed out when they fail, big farm corporations get billions in direct payments, the beautiful clean American coal and oil get low taxes, public money goes to the rich military corporations, Intel TMSC and even big rich Apple get paid to build factories in the US.Because the US isn’t a socialist state. People are given the ability to flourish or flounder. That is why it is okay.
Not a true statement at all.In fact America IS a socialist state as an American friend used to say, but whereas social benefits in the rest of the world are for all and especially for those in need in the US socialism is for the rich only.
“They” negotiate give and take with government when a huge capital investment is going take place in an area. Are you telling this forum the US is the only place in the world this happens? They get their tax breaks, they get stadiums paid for by the state,
Who is they? The EU also protects it’s own, clear evidence of socialism in the EU.they get bailed out when they fail,
They should. Food is important and a lot of that food feeds the world for free.big farm corporations get billions in direct payments,
What’s your point, the energy sector critical to US infrastructure gets a helping hand, which imo they shouldn’t be. But so what?the beautiful clean American coal and oil get low taxes,
The conclusion, none of these business practices do not support your original assertion.public money goes to the rich military corporations, Intel TMSC and even big rich Apple get paid to build factories in the US.

It’s also amazing how many Americans disagree with that take and then say, oh that will never happen here. It’s amazing how many Americans don’t understand what you are saying.
It’s very socialist for the connected and rich people.
So many Americans are “temporarily embarrassed millionaires”.
If folks would actually vote their actual interests, not aspirational ones, it might change eventually.
Well that’s my whole point. The concept of a social society is that everyone contributes so everyone benefits. The difference is that while the rest of the world socializes costs for the public good, the US only does it for big corporations and the rich. The poor get nothing. Yes our taxes are high in Germany but we actually get a return on our investment: free healthcare, free education and great public transport. Not a true statement at all.

There are numerous public assistance to support those less fortunate. The poor get nothing.
Our taxes are lower and with that difference I can invest my money into the best healthcare programs.Yes our taxes are high in Germany but we actually get a return on our investment: free healthcare,
Best schools above high school. As far as public transport comparing Germany to NYS, one would say NYS has great public transportation.free education and great public transport.
