Anybody else watching AAPL's stock price plummeting? Down $2.11 and falling.

I don't either, not on iLounge, MacRumors, or Engadget...when it loads. Nothing has updated for a while though...makes me nervous. What if he's showing off the new Apple death ray?

Seems he isn't showing off anything anymore.. I guess we got what everyone expected.

Let's see what Microsoft hast to offer ;-)

yah it was as expected.. nothing terribly exciting.. i mean.. the mac mini is cool and all.. but i would need an external firewire raid box to get any use out of it.

well that sucked. all they annouced was stuff that we already knew about... plus a stupid leather case.

not impressed.

btw, i dont have any new software updates available...

The streaming functionalities they've introduced is cool though.
It's cool, but how useful is it? How many people are going to plop down $800 so they can use frontrow on their TV? If you have a Mini with an 80+ GB hard drive, why would you even need to stream from another computer?

Steve! Bring out the Gutless Mini™ FrontRow-only set-top box!

I'm puzzled. I mean, I guess this stuff is fun if you have a few grand laying around, and they did release two new products, so I guess the objectives were met.

Bah, I don't care that there was no one more thing. All I wanted was a new Mini which was released, I couldn't have afforded an iPod video or tablet mac or anything like that. I'll want a new iBook in a few months but right now all I wanted was a Mini so I've very very happy.

Now I'm going to spend the next hour refreshing the UK Apple store until it comes live!! :D ~:D

Apple get the media together for that? My God, they'll stop coming if he keeps this up. What the hell is so special about that.

Steve Jobs really thinks that a mac mini, a leather case and an iPod speaker system is enough to warrant getting the world's techie media together? I am shocked.

Well it WAS a small crowd, only 200 people.

Yeah I admit its not the most useful thing but it is quite cool. I live in a student house and i'm going to be getting one of the minis. My mate's going to get an iMac and another guy wants a mac too so for us the whole streaming thing will be great.

I hope that on April 1st there will be something big. For me today was disappointing. I am not in the market for a mini. Maybe if it had DVR. Hopefully Jobs has something left in his pocket that he is saving for the 30th anniversary.

Just checked my mini (via VNC) and no software updates yet.

Store is still down, too.

Exciting? well, the new Mac mini is. And the iPod Hi-Fi sounds pretty cool, even though it's a bit pricey for what I would want it for.

I'm waiting for the rest of the specs on the new mini before I go jumping up and down.

I cannot believe that they raised the Mac Mini price!!
My brother-in-law was about to buy one. I wonder if he still is. He wanted something below $500.
